tilly..that is so pretty how the leaves curl under.

This rose is call the Texas rose. I was trying to find out more info on this as the buds are only about 3/4 inches and the plant still very small. I wonder if I ordered a minature in error. Either way it is a very pretty little rose.

Bea, is your David Austin Brother Cadfel a climbing rose?

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Anjl.. My Brother Cadfel is a bush rose. Did not know it also was a climber. It just started blooming and the bush has grow a lot since last year. It is very full and lovely! I hope it does not meet the same fate as my DA "Grace" . That one bloomed wonderfully and then died. So sad!

This little yellow flower is so cute. I have no idea what it is or where it came from. Its stem is like that of an oriental poppy and the leaves very similar. Any ideas?

Found another crazy pod person today.(no enhancement) I call this one Pricilla. She is very cute!

Bea, your little pod people are so cute. What type of poppy is that that makes a face naturally?

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

These are some sort of Oriental Poppy, cultivar unknown . Old seed that I just scattered and got lucky I guess.. All the pod have some black spots.
Some look like eyes etc..some just scattered about on the pod. They are so fun to come across..

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

I have a few of these popping up in the yard. Being new to the PNW
and not familar with all the native weeds yet..is this a weed or somthing else I forgot I planted?
Hope it's a plant..they are delicate and pretty looking.

Hard to tell from so close, but Scabiosa is just getting ready to bloom: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=scabiosa&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi

The yellow one looks a little like Doronicum: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=doronicum%20orientale&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi

I think it looks like 'Love in a mist'

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

I don't havea any of that, Patricia, so I'm not so familiar with it. Here are some pictures:

I do believe thats what she call it, will send her a d-mail to confer.

Yep, love-in-a-mist. Once you have it, you will always have it. Nice filler plant, but seeds itself like crazy.

Here is Penstemon 'Blackbird'. I almost killed this plant by putting it in the same bed with my roses. Evidently the soil has way too much richness, and too much water. It was languishing.

Just like this combination. The tall pink is Linarea purpurea 'canon went'. another plant that once you have it, you will always have it. I pull this stuff out all the time. There's no way to get to it before it seeds because it's constantly producing flowers.

Love this red penstemon. The geranium is 'johnson's blue'.

This is in the front border. It's filling in nicely.

Does anyone recognize this wildflower? This was growing up in the mountains in a clearcut area on private land in the Randall area. I was able to get a bit of it and it has really taken off. But I don't know what it is. Anyone? Katie59?

My carnivorous plants are blooming. I hope I haven't already posted this one yet.

Thanks all. I think the frilly one is love-in-a-mist.
Katie..the little yellow one I am not sure if it is Doronicum. The
Doronicum has a rounded tip on the flower, the one I found is
a square. Still a mystery..but I will keep it going to see what more develops. Thanks again everyone!

Choo Choo Fantasy daylily. Only a few inches from the ground
as it is a new fan I planted a few months ago. Has some growing to do!
