Thanks GP...Yes I love these little birds and they are all around us not only at the feeders! It is so nice to take a walk and see them flying around and singing!

I'd love to see one of those Pileated Woodpeckers in my yard. Gorgeous photo! I've only seen one in my life and that was in the woods. He was too far away to get a photo of him with the camera I had at the time.

A Lesser Yellowlegs perched a top the tail of a float plane at Lake Hood, Anchorage, AK.

That's funny Rose, I got a Swallow out of my front window yesterday looking for nesting materials! First time I've seen one on the ground, shame it was so dull! Your pics are nice and clear!

This has recently been cleared of grass, I have had Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Mistle Thrush and now a Swallow getting roots for their nests. It might have a clod of soil in it's beak here, it came twice.

I think it spotted me.

Eyeing up it's next bit of nesting material.

With a bit of root in it's beak.

The sheen on it's back.

I went upstairs to try to get a better pic from an open window, but it didn't come back.

A Pied Wagtail did appear though, I have seen one running around on the road before. I think the flies sit there for warmth.

Been mostly lurking, but just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying everyone's photos!

Oooo, I found a baby Brown Thrasher today!!! I had seen a Robin fledgling, but when I got back with the camera it was gone...but found the thrasher!! Yipeee!
