Yeah can't wait to meet Staynot, I am going out of town from July 4th to about the twentieth, so if we need to adjust Staynot's itinerary; we should do so accordingly. I would be happy to send him along a few days early or wait till I return home. Let me know. I can't wait to introduce Staynot to the local gnomes in my hood.
Anyone want to play "Traveling Garden Gnome"
That would have been fun to have him here in the month of June thru July 5th. AT our FW Botanic Gardens they have Concerts in the Park. That would have been fun. Several of the last performances they play the 'Star Spangled Banner' and the '1810 Overture.'; while choreographing them to a fireworks display. Here is the link in case those of you in my area want to go. www.fwbg.org .
Kim, I see Staynot has made friends with your kitty, what is it's name? Looks like it has a death grip on the toy, guess he wouldn't share...LOL!
Just saw this in the "recent posts" part of the home page. I don't even know what an Aroid is, which is probably why I am not in this forum! But, I would love to play the traveling gnome game, as long as I don't have to take his picture next to an aroid, because I don't think I have one. Will something else in my garden do?
Claire
Oh Kim, hurry and put up his door so he can travel down here. I could use a Philly cheese steak!!!!! Will be waiting!!
Oh! Yes, I have two philodendrons. One with variegated leaves and one just green. Hooray! Now I can play with Staynot too! Iowa is the corn capital - maybe I can take Staynot to see the cornfields....
Kim, Staynot looks like he's having a blast! Love that "council meeting" comment, abbisgranma!
Can't wait to meet Staynot and show him around the town!
Cathy
Ha ha ha Marion that frog is toooo cool!!
OH my, svplantingfool you live down where I grew up!!! I am a Charlotte County gal!! Before Port Charlotte even. Does he come to Venice before or after Havana?
I think Kim will send him here next, I am 2nd on the list at the top. Sure have been a lot of changes here to Venice since I moved here in 1991.
Yup Cathy your next!!
I want that frog!!!!!:=D
That entire area has changed and so rapidly. I haven't lived down there since 1960 but go back frequently to visit my Mom and Sister--in Arcadia.
Can't Audrey. I'm attached to him and his brother. He is somewhere else in the yard--covered with leaves at the moment. Was a gift from a vendor at the garden festival I am involved with.
Mmmm vendor huh.... sooo the we can buy one ???
boo hoo
They haven't been back in a couple of years but I do have the info to contact them and see if they still do them. Would you like for me to do that?
abbisgranma, haven't been out to Arcadia in about three years, I'm sure it's changed a lot since then.
I like your frog too! I collect frogs for my garden too.
Can't hurt : ) Birtday in Sept. guess I can save up!!
I will check and see. I don't think they were very much--not sure as they left it for me as they were leaving the festival at the end.
Oh really? So is mine!
Kim, hurry up and set that gnome door up, so he can teleport himself off to Cathy's house!!
Don't want Staynot to be too spoilt by your baking.
Oh by the way, that gnomes council meeting...I sure hope one of the agendas was on how to help us humans with the gas prices.
Cathy would have to have a gnome door for Staynot to do that Jaye. Otherwise he will have to travel via the good ole postal system. LOL
Jaye, I'd like to have a gnome door to do my traveling, it sure would save a lot of gas! I wonder how many plants I could fit through one of those little doors?
Actually I will have my first committee meeting for the festival on my birthday. Have been promised a cake (really afraid of this one knowing that group of Nurseyman) and ice cream. So party in Gainesville--at the botanical gardens. Woohoo!!! Come on down.
Good idea, Cathy, if we all had doors (wait I do have a door) then maybe we can save on gas! Ouch, going down to Arcadia next week--dread the bill--but need to go see my Mom.
Sounds like fun! I'm signing out..nite y'all..sleepy time....
me too! Eyes drooping.
I didn't know what ariods were either, glad someone asked. A little more learning each day.
I'm consentrating on brugs for now, checking to see if I see any new leaves sprouting. Stopped at Lowe's and so many fertilizers out there. Boogles the mind.
Got the neatest iron stand at thrift store, more space to put plants. Have no idea where I'll put it yet, looks like a baker's rack, color green perfect for outdoors.
Figuring Staynot may come for a visit toward the end of the year. Already thinking of some places he should visit.
we cut through ....
So...is that what left the white tracks?? LOL!

LOL I was wondering that too. I was trying to figure out what went through that post.
Looks like Staynot is truly enjoying the City of Brotherly Love. Can't wait to see more of his tour. I'm going to have to look for one of those doors. I just got a new little gnome. He is a grumpy looking fellow, but that may be because he was on the clearance table. He hasn't told us his name yet, in fact he hasn't been very talkative at all. Maybe a visit from a young relative will cheer him up!
Staynot is already having a dandy time! I love it that he is meeting such historical figures on his journey and doing things that are reminiscent of the part of the country he is visiting! Very cool! I will be sure to take him to Puget Sound. Maybe we'll have a boat by then and I can take him sailing!
Audrey, you are from Dyersburg?? My husband's family is from Dyer. It's the Reed family. (They actually live on Reed road, they've been there so long.) Mike grew up in Martin. Nice to meet someone from that neck of the woods on this forum!
Thanks Sheila, he lloks happier already! I think he was just a little digruntled about being put on clearance LOL. He has a little chip on his backside, I'ld be unhappy too!
