Lin, I started out with bird feeders everywhere when I moved in. It didn't take but a couple of months for the winds to literally knock them out of the trees so I got tired of picking them, putting the feeders back in the trees. Now the poor birds just have find what they can.
Jan, I am finding that these sinningias really like a lot of light........have to admit I put them pretty close to the lights.

Susan, I was watching the French OPen half awake and realized I didn't even say hello this morning. If the leaves are nice and strong.......and big..........I cut wedges too, but then I have to use a 3" squatty pot so all the bottom of the leaf gets in the mix. (I may start using the scissor to cut away all but the main stem part on a wedge)
I am going to wing it...LOL what seems to need a bigger pot I will use a bigger cup.. A few of them I am just going to put one leaf in the cup like I seen you do another time you posted pictures... I may have to use my two big bio domes as I really want to get this moving so I can share with ohters... I am mostly done buying for now... I have one more coming from England and that is it for now....
I will take pictures later after I get this party going..LOLOL We just got back from good ole Wally World.. Mike is so excited he got dishes and pots... LOL Kim sent him money for graduation and he has yet to spend it... We will let you know when he does Kim..LOLOLOL

I just publicly tell you that you all are going to have to wait for any plant material right now.
I always, off the top of head, volunteer something and don't realize how much I have ahead of me. Just taking care of what I have on 8 gro light stands inside and all my outside plants is consuming me.
That leaves and plants aren't going anywhere....so, later this summer......I only have 10 days to put together(and buy) all that goes into a hygiene gallon zip lock for the homeless. I still need to get razors, band aids, shampoo, bar of soap, comb, toothbrush and paste, etc........for 100 bags..............got to forget plants for a while...........

No problem... Just take a deep breath and it will all come together... I am having a hissy fit over which way to try and root these things..LOLOL I put up a few Roulette Cherry's already and then I am going to put a leaf up of it also.. then the rose bud I put up. I think my problem now is that I keep it to wet. I am putting these up then doing what you said no more water. Thats the hard part..LOLOL I am going to put some in solo cups and the put them in the bio dome. Hey one way or the other I am hoping something roots. LOLOL

Susan, just look at them every few days...............if they look dry, you can add a little water and light fertilizer from the bottom of the tray..........if not, then just put the dome back on..........I feel quite sure that you don't have as much humidity in the house as I do..........also, the less soil less mix they are in (meaning as long as they are in a lot of perlite and vermiculite and very little soil less mix,) it is hard for them to rot...........

About catch up I do understand.. I would rather you say you can't send then for me to be waiting and waiting and yelling at my post office... I will always remember the time I told Diane I would send her leaves and then could not... I felt awful... I tryed to make it up to her... So I do understand...LOL
We have allot of humity here but we now have air on.. So less humity in the house... I am taking a break from planting now.. My head is in the hills at this time..LOL When I get new plants now I also put a pinch of the malathon in it.. So I have like 12 plants to do that to and then I want to repot a few that are in to little of pots. Then there is always tomorrow. LOL Does anyone else stress over plants like this? LOL or is it only me... I did not put holes in the solo cups this time as I thought that is what someone said is this ok?

I did not mean anything about you making it up to me. I meant that I understand when we get things that happen and can't do something.. If you were to see me now you would understand I don't want to look at a leaf at this time..LOLOLOL Summer what is that?? Oh you mean this horrible weather that does not let you go outside... Wow we have summer all right and they say it is going to be like this for at least the next 4 days... is awful... I am going to have to water in the dark tonight as it is just to hot for me...

Precious birdie pics. I am a bird lover! I feed them in three places each day. I also have my little Chipper.
Some time ago I noticed a nice fat green seedpod on an noid african violet a co-worker had on the windowsill. It took many months to dry, and last month I took it off and opened it . . . talk about dust size seeds!
On May 26 I sprinked some seeds in a small container, and here is what they look like today:
Good job with those seeds. I am kinda afraid of them...LOL Really nice jobs.

We are getting the same and it is awful... It is to early for this heat... I am mowing the yards now in hope to beat the afternoon heat.. I already did about one acre and have maybe 3/4 of one to go... I am tan for sure... the less cloths the better ... Ok off to mow and will be back in awhile... Jan, I put leaves down yesterday so keep your fingers crossed..
Oh I will warns ya today I am in a yucky mood and a cry baby mood... LOL

Great Job Syrumani..those babies are just too cute!..Wow Jan it really does sound like its going to be a very Hot summer..I agree..starting way too early! Love those bird pics Lin..Birds are also one of my 2 major passions(or Obsessions I should say) in the world..lol..the other being plants of course...We also spend a small fortune on feeding them but they are so enjoyable we don't mind a bit! Well Here is some good new for me 3 times a year I net on horse's and yesterday I won I spent 82 bucks and won 83 so that wasn't bad than today I fine out that another horse came in and I bet on that one too 5 bucks the odds were 30/1 I am not good at that and some one said I won 150 bucks I am going out later the stroms should be done and pick up my money,

Sally, we really missed you at the picnic. Everyone had their hubbies, grandchildren and family members. The food was outstanding and the company very good! I can't belive how many Strep you have Blooming I have alot Of strep that are big but no flowers. Well again no work Bad stroms last night and more to come I think that all the seeds I plantes and My Elephant Ear have been lost in the water. I have to clean out my gutter so the water will flow and not drown the reat of my plant

Wish my camera was working...My friend in Georgia told me you can grow a sinningia from a leaf cut in half(like a strep with the rib cut out) anyway I tryed it with a sinn.Diego pink on 4-3-08. Guess what,its got a baby coming up.Amazing these plants are.

Thanks for asking the only things that have flooded are my outside plants More stroms on the way. Pretty soon I will be growing web feet and hand hope I can still do AV and strep plants I have put some down Strps and Av not many maybe some more tosay its still spring and they say beat time to start
I am getting a new heat Matt from that coop they had the other day. I rearranged my plants I have a few that are not making it. I am get black on the leave and wilting My Pink flamingo is not looking good so I am babying it I might have got to much water so I have it on the Matt to kind of dry out. I am sick on pinkey Thats my name for the Pink Flamingo I want that to grow so bad Right now the only thing going good are my weeds outside

Dimmer, I have a horrible time propagating Iced Pink Flamingo. My baby doesn't look any better than yours. I think it is because it doesn't have enough chlorophyll in it. I do have a giant one.......if I ever get caught up around here remember I do have a big one with big leaves.
We can't go to Mexico tomorrow as the Mexican Mafia has now moved into Progresso. A friend told me she went two weeks ago and there were big tanks on every corner and lots of federal and international agents.

Oh, Gail. I hear it is awful down there. I listen to Glenn Beck. He is about the only person that talks about the problems down there.
I don't know who Glen Beck is but my own kids had tried to tell me and I wouldn't listen. Now I am listening! (LOL)
