Seed catching pouches
I found the organza wedding favor bags at the Dollar store today. 6 for $1.00!!
Drawstring type.
Beats waiting for a run in my stockings...........which I rarely wear........
Wow I wish our dollar store would get some. I'm going to have to check just in case - I only got one pack and I went through them very quickly. I wanted more but they were almost $3 per pack at Wally world, so I thought I'd wait and see if I could get them on one of the websites that were mentioned. Thanks for sharing. : )
Just make sure it's the "Dollar Store" not Dollar General. Everything in the "Dollar Store" is just that...One Dollar. Gift bags....3 pack for $1.00...all kinds of neat stuff.
I found the colored flat marbles, a BIG bag for $1.00...floral wire, 3 pack etc, etc, etc...
and the best darn bag clips I've ever seen. With a magnet so you can stick them on the side of the fridge. 6 on a card for a buck............you get the idea.
Hey I'm glad you told me there is a difference. Because I never paid any attention and we are in between 2 different small towns so it is 40 miles either way. One has the dollar store and the other has the other. I will open my eyes next time. LOL Thanks.
Jeanette
We have both except one is called Family Dollar - (where evrything isn't a dollar) and then we have The Dollar Tree where everything is a dollar. : ) They always have so much great stuff for a dollar I try to stay away because I can tend to get carried away : )
I am sure the one is maybe a dollar tree. I think I went in there last year but it seems to me that they had so much stuff that it was hard to get thru the aisles.

These bags are manufacture in China. If you go to eBay auctions, you can buy them as cheap as US$12.00 (including shipping and handling) for 100 baggies! You can find them far more expensive as well. Maybe if you wait until early 2009 you can find bargains.
Ursula
Meredith, I would do the same. Spend way too much money on gadgets I really don't need.

Hello everybody!
No, this is NOT my version of a Christmas tree: it is just bagging the swelling seed-pods of this lovely double blue Platycodon to make sure I can collect all the seeds ;o)
Once I had bagged the seed-pods I placed the plant back on my balcony. After all, my neighbors already consider me 'rather peculiar' ;o). What they do not know is that very soon I will be moving out of this apartment (after 15 years!!!) to move to the most beautiful countryside with endless gardening space. Life is good!
Happy 2009 to everybody!
Ursula
Glad to here you're getting your "dream house".
Thanks, zhinu. I am grateful every day for it.
Hugs,
Ursula
Congratulations!! Good luck.

Ursula, 15 years is a long time. Please keep us posted how things are going, and please, pictures.
Jeanette
I will, Jeanette. Everything is stand by for the time being, for I am waiting for a very skilled Canadian friend to finish a major project he is doing, so he does all the 'finishings' at my house so I can move. The good thing is that the first half of Autumn here is very mild, so I will have time enough to play in the dirt ;o)
Hugs,
Ursula
Where is it you are moving to??? So anxious to see pictures.
Jeanette
Jeanette, it is only 1:30 hour drive south-west from Santiago, close to a lagoon called Laguna de Aculeo, surrounded by the most gorgeous hills and mountains thickly covered with native woods.
I don't want to hijack 3gardeners thread re. seed catching pouches changing the subject to my future home, so please be patient until I find the first pictures I took and start my own thread. OK?
Big hug,
Ursula
Sounds great. Thanks. Jeanette
