Joann, The baby is darling. Don't spoil her to much!!

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

Lenjo, Great pic! know how you feel, I have lived in Bend all my life and I've NEVER received a reunion invitation. Doesn't bother in the least though. DH isn't from here, he was an Airforce kid. He moved here after coming home from his tour of duty in Okinawa. He was a Dog Handler (MP) in the Army. I think the reason l haven't received any invitations is because everyone thinks l moved. Hooray for me! All of my so-called friends from school are nothing but a bunch of druggies! Thank goodness for DH coming along when he did, or my life may have been different! I am soooo HAPPY! Our 34th Anniversary is this coming Sunday.
Susan

Susan, have a fabulous 34th year celebration!! Sounds like you picked a good match!

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

Thanks Pixy! I don't mind saying I HAVE TO AGREE!!

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

Happy anniversary, Susan - glad you and your honey found each other way back when!!!

Port Angeles, WA(Zone 8b)

Congrats to you and DH, Susan. 34 years is quite a feat in this day and age. Way to go and I wish you at least 34 more!

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

Thank you ladies! I know what you mean about the feat, and it just seems to get better every year! ^_^ My parents celebrate their Anniversary on the same day and ironically before we lost DH dad to pancreatic cancer it was HIS parents Anniversary as well! It will be my parents 62nd! ^_^

Obviously a very good date for your family. Hopefully the tradition will carry through!

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

It's hard to say, our DD's and SIL's Anniversary is the 26th of this month and my DS's and BIL's is the 27th. So we're all within the same month! LOL! My DB's and SIL's is the 23rd of Dec (also his birthday). I guess he wanted to get everthing out of the way all at once! LOL!!! I do however have 3 GK's maybe one of them will carry it on. It will be a few yrs before we will know though since they're 7, 8 and 9.

Great photo of the grandkids playing the water, we had a tank like that for our girls and what fun they had.

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

Lenjo, I know. Those kids were in that tank from the time they got up until dark. Even when they came back in Sept. the youngest GD wanted to know where the swimming pool went. It was about 50 degrees that day and we told her it was put up for the year and besides that it was too cold out anyway, her reply was AAAWWW. I think if it had still been filled with water she would have gone in anyway! LOL!

Susan, gramma's house looks like it is wonderful place for them to come too, your garden is lovely too.

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

The oldest is a little too reserve. BUT she doesn't mind baiting her own hook with a worm. They also went fishing with mommy and daddy before he had to go back over the mountain.

Thank you, that was last year. I have a thread called "I can't wait till my garden looks like this again"! You may have seen it, I've been posting progressive pics about every week or two. I think I just posted one last week and it had been 2 weeks since the last.

Anjl, you really don't have to dig that deep, you still look the same. Guys that haven't seen you in 20 years still recognize you.

As for me I don't have any Senior pictures but I will see if I can dig up one from around that era.

Pat

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Hey tills... how's this for a replica of your bench arbor?

I showed DH your picture, course he had to make a 'model' to scale first (he says this is relaxing?) cut up lil 2x4's and 4x4's to scale, and then made the arbor...had to make the fence and the steps too.... lol!

Oh my, Anjl! I'm sure glad my mom doesn't garden! She'd be here threatening me as well! I absolutely LOVE the arbor model and, if you don't plan on copyrighting the idea, may steal aspects of it for my own danged self! Let us know when you plan on going to Heidi's. . .I think we're about due for another PNW field trip, aren't we? It's always a fun day!

(And good shot about the relatives ~ *snicker* *chortle* *guffaw* ^_^

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

The model is amazing . . . such detail.

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

anjl, That little arbor would be a perfect addition to a fairie garden. When we were designing our house we made a scale model and then took it over to show my dad. Some friends of their wanted to buy it, so we gave it to them. I would pay, oh say, $30 for that one.

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

anjl, don't you know that's what mothers are for? lol!

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Yes, anjl. I'm thinking that lots of people at the nursery would pay for faery garden elements - and maybe your DH is just the one to create them. You've seen the faery doors, right?

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

oh and he would soooo love to just sit around all day and build lil models... I just wont let him til my arbors built! LOL! once we move to WA, he is going to build a giant workshop (1200 sq ft) and build to his hearts content....but until then, he needs to work work work on MY stuff! LOL! just kidding, im not the slave driver, its really him who is slave driving himself! lol! but in a few years he can retire and its his dream to build lots of stuff!

Here's another lil garden art he built me :o) somewhere on this puter I have a pix of a squirrel dining at our squirell cafe...just cant find it right now! lol!

this winter, he wants to build lots of stuff so we can sell it on DG marketplace :o)

Anjl ~ the "cafe" is absolutely adorable. I can't hardly wait until your DH's stuff is on the marketplace. I for one will certainly buy stuff from him!

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Anjl, We got some places for sale on my road LOL get you closer maybe my DH can pickup a point or to from yours. ^_^

Sheri, I'll send you the pics I sent her, Tim might come up with a plan.
If you would like.

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

tee hee hee!
I WILL be looking at areas when I'm up there... if I have time between site seeing, meeting DG friends, and planting my moms yard lol! But unfortunately, DH is staying home :o(

That of course means that I get to do all the heavy lifting and hole diggin at moms! ugh! hoping I can put my son and nephew to work instead! LOL!
