Hosta Pics

Essex Junction, VT(Zone 4a)

I got a few hosta from a neighbor, though I have no idea what they are. Plus I am new to hosta, they're not my favorites but they do nicely in and around my pondless waterfall/stream system. Here are a couple close-ups.

In the course of human events, actually more like in the time of this thread, my 'White Feather' hosta has succumed to this heat wave! The others are standing tall, but WF looks like it was stomped on! Also lots of green coming on...

Dawn, not sure which ones those are, but they are lovely and look so healthy.

Hem, I love the combo of the blue with the spring green of the ferns

Evie, they do go nicely with water features, don't they.

ge, I just ordered Americana- glad to hear it grows quickly.

Yeah, the heat was really brutal today. I came back from being in Mass. all day and my hosta were drooping. Regal Splendor, especially, because of how big and tall it is. And hosta really are like umbrellas, aren't they- how do you guys water yours, anyway?

Did I remember someone saying they treated the HVX with Roundup?
There is a case here, one lone hosta off by itself and easy to replace.
I would like to ZAP it.

Sorry to hear about your White Feather Jax. The same thing happened to my Mostly Ghostly which was in its second year. I have heard that it is super picky about where it grows best so I moved it to a shadier part of my yard. Now waiting and hoping it will perk back up again.
