Really windy here. Waiting for the rain.

Very cold wind--should get up to mid 50s today, but wind makes it feel worse.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Overcast, dark and windy which makes it seem colder than the 40 degrees the thermometer is showing. No rain yet.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow, Mother Nature's fury is on display. Aside from all the tornado damage in this country, there may be 1/2 million or more dead in Burma and now 10's or possibly 100's of thousands dead in the quake in China. Terrible.

Southern Dutchess Co, NY(Zone 5b)

I just got in from a run to the P.O. and grocery. Wow, is it ever raw! My hands are stinging from the cold.

By the way, first class stamps are now 42 cents. Stock up on those forever stamps because the paper says postage will rise each May. Lucky us.

Good thing it is kinda cool and hazy/cloudy. My GH shade cover blew off and I cant get it on!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I just saw on the news somewhere in PA got 3 inches of snow

Work Work Work... That shade cover blew off and I had to water 2 times. It is going to be very IFFY Tonight. They are calling for 36 * but I dont trust them.

Southern Dutchess Co, NY(Zone 5b)

Our forecast was for rain throughout the day, but we got nothing except lots of wind. The lights have flashed several times but we've been lucky to not lose it . Please, please (!) NO SNOW! I feel for any of us who are cursed with it this late in the season.

Clinton, CT(Zone 6b)

How windy was it today?

At the back property line it was this windy:

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Wow, it was windy but only little sticks and leaves everywhere!

Southern Dutchess Co, NY(Zone 5b)

Ouch, David_Paul. What a shame for such a great looking tree. No other property damage, I hope.

Clinton, CT(Zone 6b)

mamasita...no damage. Which is great cause I'm sure the neighbor will now take the entire tree down. Like many maples, it started to rot where it bifurcated. We knew it would come down soon. It could hit his house. If he takes the entire tree down it means the back 75 feet of our lot will get lots of sun. Whoopie! That is dead ground for veggies and cut flowers right now. Even what fell today will help.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - good thing there was no damage or injuries, David. Same here Lynn, nasty, windy and raw day, but no rain. Just back from my son's t-ball game. Felt like being at a football game.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Was supposed to rain, but didn't. Sun came out for a while. Shot 9 holes this afternoon.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

man that is some serious tree damage... glad nothing or no one got hurt

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Must have made a bit of noise.

Thomaston, CT

Very windy & raw here also--went car shopping--what a bummer! I don't see prices coming down very much even for the large cars--Anyway I was so cold I wished I had my winter coat on. Louise---glad Dex is home--Grant comes home tomorrow--meanwhile I have to babsit my 2 granddaughters.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Happy homecoming day to Grant!

Southern Dutchess Co, NY(Zone 5b)

So happy to hear the little one is on his way home, ROBIN! Everyone must e very excited.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

The wind has died down, but it's still chilly. I actually had the fireplace going today. Someone I know wants to say hello," I'm doing just great and you all helped my human mom through a very yucky weekend. She's doing much better now"

Robin, so glad Grant is coming home. That alone makes all the difference in the world!

Great to see Dex - and you! Best wishes to you guys!

Southern Dutchess Co, NY(Zone 5b)

You both look so happy to be back together, where you belong. Happy for both of you! - Lynn

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hi Dexter!! Glad to see you both happy!

Clinton, CT(Zone 6b)

50°F at 9:00 PM. Predicted low is a safe 41° but watching it to see if I need to run out and put boxes over tomatoes which were set out last Tuesday. Pushing the zone a little this year: Tonights low is the lowest low in the ten day forecast.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Windchill was 29.9 with a 18.6 mph wind from the NE here this am. A Nor'easter in May??! Hired a contractor to take down a 45' Norway Maple and and 42' white oak from my backyard this week to allow sun to touch the ground for the summer in that part of the yard for the first time in 20yrs, both are letting branches fall and becoming sickly. - cant wait to see them gone! ☺

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

You won't miss all those seedlings you have to pull out every year either.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Robin, love that photo of you two buddies. Great news about Grant coming home!!
It was cold here soooo I spent the whole day weeding. I'm doing a photography workshop this weekend in my yard and there are weeds! No surprise there. These gardens get bigger every year. And of course I'm putting in another one. I must be crazy.
Dusk today.

Nice shot, booj. Looks relaxing. Hopefully you use that hammock.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Rarely, I'm always weeding. Or walking around taking pics!!

Southern Dutchess Co, NY(Zone 5b)

Oh Boojum, I loved your picture! What a beautiful tree.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Beautiful Dexter!
Beautiful hammock!
Not so beautiful wind ~ although it has died down here, now.

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Here's another for you, Lynn! It's got the whole tree.

Absoluletly stunning! I think this is one of the most gorgeous vistas I've seen in the longest time! Do you have a greenhouse for the orchids? I think I'd stare out at that scene all day and never get anything done!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Such a peaceful, restful sight!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

that hammock looks like a great spot right about now

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Gosh thanks. You can see why we bought the place! No GH yet!
