Thank you, Victor.

Here's a bit of humor from the great writer, Erma Bombeck, on this Mother's Day:

One thing they never tell you about child raising is that for the rest of your life, at the drop of a hat, you are expected to know your child's name and how old he or she is.

Thanks ever so, Victor. Had a great day. Beautiful weather, my lilacs are starting to come out and i don't get bouquets for Mother's Day. I get to go and pick out shrubbery. I have my eye on some roses this year. My Mother's Day Viburnum carlesii is blooming full out and smells heavenly! Lilacs are next!
Thanks again, Victor!

I had a nice long nap then hubby woke me for the roast beef dinner he cooked. YUM!

Lucky girl!!! I wish dh would cook - no such luck there - however he does cook well with his debit card LOL

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks Victor... you now, I do consider my turtles and dogs my children... the worse is when I take picture of my roses out of my purse and say hey, look these are my children... so I guess I have to add the roses to the list of my children!!!!

Thank you, Victor. You are such a gentleman! It's an honor to know YOU as well.

Yesterday was a very busy day for both Anna and I, so I am going to take a closer look at, and find out some more info about, a spring blooming cactus that DD and DSIL gave me yesterday. I had never heard of a Spring Blooming Cactus before. I'll take a photo of it later.

My dh went down the street to plant pansies for his mum - the tool he took with him was a pickax! (Remember, he's the one that builds the stone walls!) He had a nice pot roast dinner while there and, two hours later, asked how come I hadn't cooked the chicken yet that was thawed - grrr!

My 10-yr.-old dd took me out to eat yesterday - at a local ice cream joint - so I was all set!

Pick axe - sounds like my husband. A sludge hammer and a chisel would suffice also.

There have been fleeting moments in the last 44 years, when I thought I would like to get married again. LOL----LOL
Thanks Sherrie and Sue I needed the wakeup call.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Funny, Jo Ann. Someone said a similar thing about exercise. He said he gets an urge to, but sits down until the urge passes.

I hear ya-----
Marriages always look so tempting then the real nitty gritty doesn't show.
I love my independence

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Luckily, many marriages are fine!
