DAILY PICS VOL. 106
pictures!!!
Yesterday morning at dawn we had a line of thunderstorms rumble through. Odd timing. All of a sudden the sky above our house was filled with wood storks. They are a fairly common sight around here, but it's still surprising to see so many large birds at once flying so low.
Several rested briefly at my farm pond. They are such unique looking birds.
LOL! they're such conformists. ;->
Wow, those wood storks are great! I've never seen those before. What a marvelous picture opportunity! The only large bird I see around here is the occasional blue heron flying overhead.
Wow ! those are cool!
I think these two regulars are planning to raise a family nearby, but so far they seem to be just enjoying the food service. The male had his work cut out for himself the other day as he had a difficult time chasing another male cardinal who seemed to have plans on hanging around. They must have flown around the yard in circles at ten plus times before the newcomer seemed to get the idea that this yard was not likely to become his new hangout.
Thanks Mrs. Ed. I'll try. But every time I get near the window they skiddale.
fantastic iris!
