Linthicum Heights, MD(Zone 7a)

Nice photos of the Goldfinch and Indigo Bunting, sadie_mae. I like the Osprey, Marilyn. Hopefully, they are nesting nearby.

One place that I visit, the Tree Swallows inhabit most of the Bluebird houses.

Thanks, Pelle. Here is another photo of the Rose-breasted Grosbeak. I think that they have now departed for points farther north.

Where are they?

Georgetown, SC(Zone 8a)

Sadie Mae: Your picture made me think of this photo I took last week.
I put orange halves out for the woodpeckers , but have now had to resort to putting them in a suet feeder. This picture explains why.

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

I was three behind again! The pics are coming in so fast it is hard to keep up with them and they are great. I'm enjoying them very much. I saw a bird today that I've never seen before. A rose breasted grosbeak. They may have been around but I didn't notice them. This is my first year with feeders so that could be why I've never noticed them before. I think it is a female in the pic along with the male. Eleanor

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Geez I go to town and come home and get the chores done and a new thread is going!

Sadie thanks for the new thread and your pics are just great!

Wonderful pics everyone...I am so happy to see them all!

Well I saw the Scissor tailed Flycatcher in the same area today again I did not have my camera! I hate to take it with me as I would hate to have it stolen so I may go back tomorrow and see if it is there! What a cool looking bird! As I type this I see the male and female Indigo Bunting chowing down at the tube feeder.

Eleanor...congrats...the Grosbeaks are really lovely birds!!

Central, KY(Zone 6b)

Deb, that is too cute!!! I can say that because luckily, I don't have a squirrel problem. I'd probably feel a little differently if I did, but he/she sure is a cutie holding that orange :-)

Florence, MS(Zone 8b)

I had not seen the bluebird fledglings for two weeks when this one showed back up asking to be fed. The male bluebird kept laying the bug down and picking it up. Was he showing the youngster how to catch a bug? He never did feed the youngster. After a while he took the bug into the box to the new babies. The youngster sat awhile with a sad look and then finally flew off.

While I was trying to get a picture of the White-breasted Nuthatch at my peanut feeder I caught a little flash of yellow, something out of the ordinary in that part of the yard because the goldfinch feeder is on the other side of the house. Although it was raining and I had to shoot through the window over to my neighbor's cherry tree, I at least was able to get one picture of this unfamiliar visitor before he flew off. He's definitely not a regular in my yard and although I'm very weak in warbler ID, I think it's a Common Yellowthroat.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

Another good day of birding on this thread, Thanks for posting your birds.

Nice day to get the pond going, although it's unfinished, the birds didn't seem to mind, they were anxiously waiting for it to run. As soon as we left the area, we started seeing them go for drinks and baths.

Orchard Park, NY

I don't have any photos for you, but as I sit here this a.m. reading each wonderful thread, I cannot believe the activity on my patio, both at the hanging feeders and bowl on the ground, with an oriole visitor (first ever), goldfinches, titmice, juncos, chipping sparrows.

A crow (I imagine it's the same one) has been coming and going all morning to the bowl. He and a squirrel were "debating" over whose turn it was! The squirrel climbed the pole to the hanging feeder.
