Spring Blooms Part 5 - What do you see?

Red Oak, TX

stephanietx, thank you very much for the I.D. on the Rudbeckia Hirta.
I am too embarassed to show wide view pictures of my yard. There are always weeds to pull and shrubs to trim. I can never get caught up.

Beautiful pictures everyone.

Rita, I don't believe you for a minute! I say embrace your weeds! Last spring, a guest in my garden asked how I managed to weed everything. I told her that I didn't and that I had lots of weeds and then started pointing them out. She said 'oh, but you have pretty weeds.' I think that's one of my favorite compliments ever!

Here's a fledgling blue jay eating berries off a weed while hanging out under the sprinkler. I purposefully let that weed grow because I know the birds like the berries.

Beautiful pics you guys! I can barely make it by lately....
dmj! I love the vines and wish I had more room to grow them. The EG Wisteria is amazing! How do the Rangoons like shade?

TJ! Who takes care of all your animals when you go off for a wild weekend? I see the flora was just fine, :-)!

Carla~ What are the yellow flowers behind your pretty tuberosas?

Deb, that beautiful yellow plant is an Engelmann Daisy. It spent most of last year establishing its tap root. This year - YOWZA!
