Pelle asked me to start the next thread. I can;t believe we are on VOL.105! That means there is lots of birdwatching going on and lots of great photos by all of you!
We came from here http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/843717/#new
This past week I had been trying to get a pic of one of the Brown Thrasher pairs together. I finally succeded the other morning and got 3 shots.
DAILY PICS VOL. 105
Oh Wonderful pics nanny!!!!! Handsome birds those Brown Thrashers!!
Thanks so much for starting the new Daily Pics thread!!
Oh Nanny...I am truly jealous! Those are great shots and I have yet to see a Thrasher at the feeder! If I want to see a Thrasher I have to go to the fence line in the north pasture and break my neck checking out the tree tops!! Thanks for the new thread too!!
Thanks for the new thread and great pics Nanny!
What in the world are you feeding? I've never seen any thrashers at the feeders, just in the fence row at the edge of the yard or in the woods!
No such thing as "just a sparrow". Congrats! And kudos for IDing it.
I feel like these threads are on fast forward lately. I'm having trouble keeping up.
Great pics everybody and thanks for keepin' it movin' Nanny.
Congratulations on the new birds guys!!!!
dellrose, I would love to see a pic of the north pasture and trees! GM
I would love to see pics of you whole property! :-)
LOL, Very cute Claire! Nice pics too!
I was lucky - he was right outside my kitchen window on my path. I am off work for a few days and can't stop watching the birds when I should be studying!
Congrats on the new birds Claire and Sadie...very exciting!! Sadie, I was fortunate enuf to get a few pics of the Male Blue Grosbeak and have been watching for a female...so far no luck!
GM and Pelle, We call our place "The Poor Farm"....I love it but it isn't anything spectacular except for the natural beauty. We have the rusty barbed wire fences, falling down fence posts and some old outbuildings, but to me it is paradise. I will take pics if it ever stops raining (in about 4 days)!!! Very wet here today but looky what showed up on my make-do platform feeder...another first..
Harris' Sparrow!!! Wowers I am pumped to get the long shot in the rain pic!!
I just answered you over on the ID forum Claire. Is this a new bird for you?
If so;Congratulations!
Rose, Congratulations on another new bird! Obviously your place must be paradise since the birds love it so much! I would still love to see some pics!
Thanks for confirming Pelle! Yes, another new one for me. Never had woodpeckers at my city yard. Hooray for the country!
Claire
Wow Marilyn, what a beakful! That's a great pic. I think I need a better camera!
Claire
nanny, Congratulations on the Bunting!!!
Marilyn, Thats a beautiful pic of the female Red-bellied Woodpecker!
wallaby, Those Magpies are such an attractive bird! I haven't seen too many House Sparrows around but I'll try to get the binocs out next time their here.
Great pics everyone!
Aww, cute pic burn! He's giving you the sad woe is me look. :-)
Nice one! There are so many types of ducks I've never seen since becoming interested in birds.
Nice shots burn! I like the Goldfinch on the coconut; very cute!
