editing posts

i am not allowed to edit since last night. it says i've reached my quota. even this morning.........a new day........it says i can't edit. when do the editing hours expire? 24 hrs. from the time you made the last edit?

i had to edit my co-op a whole lot yesterday. isn't there some way that edits won't count against you at least on the co-op forum?

I'm pretty sure you can edit as much as you want in the co-op forum, but if you make a bunch of edits there it still counts toward your total, so lots of editing in co-ops could prevent you from being allowed to make any edits elsewhere. I don't think there's a limit in the co-op forum so you should still be able to do your edits there, just not anywhere else. I don't know when the clock resets, whether it's by day or by 24 hours.

well i sure wish that that feature worked a little different. i almost never edit but i have a co-op plus we have trade pages for a plant swap up. and yesterday i needed to use that many times. i didn't know though that you could edit the co-op pages unlimited times. and come to think of it i remember now that i couldn't edit my trade page but then right after i was able to edit the co-op page. so that really confused me. thanks for the explanation ecrane.

but DAAAAAAAAAAAVE..........any chance you could figure out how not to have the co-op edits count against your total quota of daily edits?

I'm guessing if it was an easy fix he would have done it that way in the first place since it seems like it would make more sense (either that or he's got a good reason why it shouldn't be done that way)

Actually, the co-op forum should be setup so that you can make unlimited edits... here's the list of forums that have no edit limit:

Roundup
Round Robin Trading
Test
Roundups
DG Events
Region: Mid-South

WELL dave, the only two places i was editing was the croc co-op and a round-up/plant swap thread over on the texas gardening forum. so does this round-up thread on tx. gardening need to be somewhere else in order to have unlimited edits?

Yes it does matter: the system can only suspend the edit limit in certain forums - not on the thread titles ;o)
