Our Visit to HostaJims

Our outing today was a visit to, HostaJims house. He does Hosta Hybridising.
I think I spelled that right. We also when to Dragonfly Farms and visited with Heidi (cattlesdogs) but that will be a different tread.

We got to enjoy his yard, Oh what a joy it was. I guess I am the first one home so I well start the tour.
I was the first to arrive and talk to Jim for a few, He and I agree that all plants should be in pots with wheels, them you can move them anywhere you want. I think its a neat idea, but we know that wont work.

Nice garden. Looks like you had a great tour. I'm curious to find out what the burgundy car is in the driveway.

The Waterfall, with the fish swimming underneath. I could just set there for hours and watch them.

LOL I can not recal what Jim said it was, no worry he will jump in at some point. I so enjoyed it too.

We are still on the top of the yard. the trellis leads down into the bank below. which we will see later. before the trellis we make a right that leads along the side of the house, I call it the first tier. there are 3.

These are Hellebores babies, off the mother plant, wait till you see her.

47 something. It looks almost like our old 47 Chev, but the back is just a little different.

Bal...I believe the license plate said '46. Good call...

I started posting on the other tread so I have pics there too. Here is Jim talking about the hosta he has sold and some that will be selling next year. There is a lot of hard work in that little hosta in his hand. I could have stayed the day listening to Jim talk about hyberdizing.

I was feeling sorry for myself all day - now I really really really feel sorry for myself! Nice work on the thread, Tills!!!

Here they are trying to figure out how do we get one of these out of here!!(just kidding!)

And, Gordon, nice pics, etc. as well. I am GREEN with envy, not only that I missed Jim's wonderful home and work, missed Dragonfly as well, but didn't get to see everyone I already know and meet the ones I haven't met before.

Yes, Carole - we all thought about you today. And this is just the beginning of our adventures. There will be time for more. The summer is young!! Hope you were able to get out into the sun on Saturday.

You guys make me cry - you're so sweet. I am so looking forward to a time when I can be an active member (in person) again. In the meantime, I truly don't know what I would do without all of you here in the threads.
