Wow, I missed all of volumn 98. I'll enjoy looking at it later. Love your pics. Rose, that oriole is so pretty! Great shot. I don't have any pics today. I'm just posting so your photos will show up in my updated threads!

My parents are still visiting. My mother and I were out on the patio again and this time a Rose-breasted Grosbeak showed up! I managed to get two worthless shots. I haven't seen the Indigo Bunting again, but y'all were right. I'm just looking for him everywhere!

Rose, OMG that guy is drop dead gorgeous!! I am going over now to look at your oriole thread!

Lol nanny, yep that's definitely dracula!

adelbert, I just wish we had Orioles, lol, they are gorgeous! Nice shots Rose!

I had two female House Sparrows fighting today, dull again but I got some shots. One seemed to be getting the better of the other, as I approached they went across the garden then flew off when I got closer. I guess it's the territorial thing, only one dominant female allowed. The male came up to have a brief look.

A male Chaffinch landed where I had put some oats, then a female came and beat him off. She is very well marked, one I haven't seen before.

What a striking color on that Oriole Rose. Yes new birds arriving almost every day, and it's so nice. And the weather is super nice also. My pond is still covered in snow, but we're starting to see the side of it now. A few more warm days, and everything will be gone.
OP, I'm glad I went back and corrected my mistake, on that Sparrow, otherwise you would have called it a white-crown sparrow, instead of a white-throated sparrow. Resin is the one to be thanked.
GP, I'm so happy for you on your Cedar Waxwings, Hope they continue coming for you also. What kind of fruits are they attracted too in your yard? I will go look at your thread on them. Nice pic of the catbird too.
GM great looking chickadee and nice feeder.

A little gold finch looking at you.

Wonderful pics today everyone...just had to check in before going to bed!

Thank you for your kind comments!

The Waxwings were around in the winter for the berries on my Holly tree (they stripped it one day while I was at work). Now they are after the ripe berries on the Florida Privet, which has become a small tree. I have one in the frontyard and one in the backyard. The Mockingbirds and Catbirds also love the berries my Firebush gets. I am so glad I have things the birds love!

Beautiful pictures everyone. I am so far behind, have to go back to vol 93....
I finally saw the pileated that's bee making so much noise in the woods behind my house. He must have found some tasty bugs in this dead branch.
