Daily Newsletters

I was reminded that there was a daily newsletter in addition to the weekly newsletter I get via email. So I went looking for it. It took a while to find, even though it's probably pretty evident to others. I now remember that I was getting it for a while.

However, in reading over the daily newsletter, I found that there seems to be something missing (unless I just can't see it), and that's a way to subscribe and/or unsubscribe to it. Here's what I found at the bottom of the newsletter under "Final Notes":

The daily newsletters used to be sent out via email - now they are only available online. My guess is Dave never got the opt in/opt out link removed from the automatic footnote ;o)

Yes, that's the problem. He DID remove the opt in/opt out button, but the note's still there. If one wants to subscribe or unsubscribe there's no way to do so. But there must be a way, since I think some people (see http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=4851888) are still automatically getting it daily. Or am I not understanding something?

It's not that I WANT to get the daily newsletter, it's just that it's mysterious as to why patp's getting it and I can't figure out how she did that. This kind of puzzle makes my brain hurt and I NEED to find the answer! Aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!

I don't think patp receives anything mailed to her - she just accesses the newsletter each day. You can always bookmark the main newsletter page as a favorite so you can get to it faster.

I think she may just be in the habit of checking it daily, I didn't see any mention of getting it in an email.
I do miss that though!

Well, I do wish I could mark it like watching a forum so it automatically shows up on my home page. Any way to do this? I like the one click away method.

I'm just glad I'm no longer confused. LOL!!! I just hate getting a brain freeze!!

Maybe one day (when time allows) Dave can add it to the Features list so you can put it in your Custom Menu box. Then it'll only be one click away, and on your Home Page, eh?

I've been trying to locate this newsletter, would someone please post a link, I've not had any luck locating it. Sorry still trying to figure out how things work around here. Love this place wish I had subscribed years ago....
