Ben is definately going to be a scientist, etc. in some field when he grows up.
I think this last house was my favorite. The front yard was super! The homeowners had created a humorous mix of garden art paired with a low maintenance yard, loaded with drought tollerant plants full of color.
Waxahachie Plant Party Pictures
We were all exhausted when we finally arrived at T.J.'s house, but after the meal that Christi & Mike (in this pic) provided and great conversation and music from Deb's oldest son.....all was right with the world. Thanks to Ashley T.J.'s DW, who let us invade their lovely home.
I really appreciate the planning and hard work that went into the event. I hope that others will see this small event as something that could grow into what he had first dreamed of last year.
Way to go planning committee!

Yeah..we had some fun huh Mamajack...love that name!
rj, we did. when's the next one?
Sheila, I think the yellow flowers at that last house are Dahlberg Daisies (Thymophylla tenuiloba). I've seen them at North Haven Gardens and they are lovely little daisies.
Carla
Randy, can you please send me the link to the Snowbank plant you, so graciously gave to me? I can't find it any where!
oh, i forgot about that plant. so pretty. off to look.
Alls I know is that it belongs to the Genus Alternanthera.
I will check tomorrow if I have any tags with the species etc..
Don't trust him, Bronc. He has some sort of magic in his garden. Absolutley wonderful. Ok. I have been challenged. Randy must have brought 50-60 plants to my house. Had the crew dig multiple beds today to make room. They were super impressed. Juan says "Christi, this is very expensive plant". I say " I know". I have very good friends. Then late this afternoon, here comes Mitch with yet another bunch of plants. The guys come back tomorrow to mow and blow, they will be surprised that there are more plants. LOTS MORE PLANTS.
hehehe ..... Christi are ya remodeling the house so you turn part of it into yard or a greenhouse and just leave the kitchen and bedroom and bathroom for living in
Looks like that would be the most feasible. I almost stopped breathing when I saw what Mitch had today.
After the unbelievable bounty from Randy. I don't deserve, I don't deserve, Thank You, Dear God.

Thanks for making the thread Phyllis!! What a crazy time for me to forget to bring my camera. I usually have it with me always, and what a weird time to leave it at home! TY!!
Thank you too Sheila!
You guys are the greatest! My family had a blast.
Loved your place TJ and your precious family :-)! The brisket was fabulous! Ben keeps asking when we are going to go back, LOL!
What about you Randy, with the song about Mamajack and Cigarettes, ROFL!

That's the one!
The lady at the nursery told us later that the owner makes those!! Isn't it the coolest? I am sure they cost a fortune, so I won't have one.
Shelia and Josephine - my I use a few of your pics for the article?
Of course you can use all of mine if you want, when will you have it ready?
Sure, I suppose you are talking about a DG article, since you do so many of them.
