How was the weather up your way? We've had rain and wind, gusts probably to 30 or 35, and, of course, cold- still. I keep hearing it's supposed to be better this weekend-sure hope so!
Sunday, April 27th Trip to Hostajim's and Dragonfly
We keep having rain showers and a little wind once in awhile. But considering the last two months, it seems quiet pleasant.
And with regard to riding a fairy. . .do you have to use a saddle?
Yes! But you have to be 12" to ride the fairies!! They have a little measuring sign to stand by!
Sometimes they could come in handy, when the ride is bumpy.
Yeah but with the fairy dust you hardly notice!!
LOL!!
I get seasick really easily.
Pixy ~ silly question. Whatcha got?
Hey Pix:
Do you have any rooted Hydrangea Paniculata 'Limelight' or other cuttings (aside from Jogasaki and Ayesha, which you've already so kindly shared with me)?
Heidi has Quickfire, so I may pick one up on Sunday.
For anybody who is going to Dragonfly in the afternoon only:
We're meeting at Dragonfly Farms between noon and 1. Eating whatever we brought for picnic lunches while everyone gathers during that time.
Kathy
Just a quick note, It is fricken freezing out here. My place is open so the wind can whip through. Even if the sun is out it can still be cold. It is always easier to take something off than to freeze. Can't wait to see everyone. Heidi
I'm going to need a bigger truck.
Pixy, You still have any Blue Panda?
Okat, between the valium and the vicadin I can't find jim's addy and I know I saw it somewhere. Got to find it, cause I really want to see the brugs I have cuttings from. And to see his hostas!
Hey Gordon-check your dmail? Rachel sent a dmail blast with addy & directions to Jim's...
Gordon, how are you doing?
Thats where I saw it! Found out I have two compressed disks in my neck. No fun at all! Can't work and sitting is murder! But truely want to go!
We are in the same boat, in a way. I have a pinched nerve in my neck, can't turn to the right, I did it by sneezing.
What did you do?
Hey Gordo...what'd you do? Crash your fairy?
compressed disks-ouch! Sounds like you'll be off to the Chiro, too?
Lol, Sheri!
I did feel better, but not up to par.
Gordon, you are not responding?????
Sorry! Like I said sitting is murder! Type a little go wander around the house. I'm here though. Got rearended, distracted fairy driver! I s anyone doing the Edmonds ferry? Driving is of ourse a little uncomfortable and was hoping to meet some one there?
Gordon, I am on that ferry, 5 days a week, I have been bump 3 times,
twice from behind and once from the front, the dummy roll back into me with a big pickup. I saw it coming, was more worried about my head lights than anything else, he was bigger than me. LOL the two that got the rear, did more damage to thier car than mine they hit my trailer ball that sticks out 6".
Was it on or off the boat?
It was in town. I meant could I meet somone at the Edmonds ferry on Sunday? The 8:40 would be best.
Are you putting ice on it for 15 min every half hour, my DH is a massage Pract. that is also what my Chrio. says no heat until after 72 hours, then use it in a off and on sequence. I have had same injury in my lower back was out of work for 2 years. I am just using ice packs.
I have a great Chrio. have been seeing him for 15 years. He is the one that got me back to work and doing what I did before. I was told by some of the doctors I would never be able to do what I did before, well I proved them wrong. that was in 88
My mri hasn't got back yet. I'm dreading the thought of surgery!
That is the last thing they will do. more like Phy. Ther. first. and thats not all that fun.
Are you wearing a neck brace?
Didn't give me one, just shove you out the door now days.
Thats not right.
OOH Gordon! I'm so sorry that happened! Surgery is the last thing anyone wants on the spine area! I really hope it doesn't come to that. If, God forbid, you do have to see a surgeon, let me know. I have a client who knows about most of the spine surgeons in the area. She is a nurse who works for workman's comp. through Boeing. So she has negotiated with a lot of back surgeons. But let's keep a good thought! It's not going to come to that, right? Attitude is half of it!
Tills, I have blue panda for you. Anything else? Kathy I'll bring whatever is rooted in the bog filter. I have no idea what's in there and what actually has roots, if anything. I figure I'm going to bring all my extras and if people want them, cool, if not, that's okay,, too.
Yea, but you wont give it to me. Ha Ha the apine LOL
Thanks
Hugs
Tils
Worried about Gordon.
Pix - you're so sweet!! If there is anything, that's fine. Just didn't want you to have too many hydrangeas. LOL
Tills, what alpine is that? The little alpine with a purple flower and little round leaves whose name I can never remember? Is that the one you like?
Kathy, thanks so much for thinking of me! LOL!! It's so good to know that I have friends who don't want me to be overwhelmed with too many plants!! So where were you today when I went to two nurseries in town?? Oh, did I find some goodies! I got the most awesome Corokia called 'Bronze King'. Also one called 'Tutti Fruiti', but it's only a 4" pot size. Very cool though.
I LOVE corokia. Well, I love pretty much anything crooked. ;-p I'll have to go look those up . . .
Hey here's a cool site of native New Zealand plants!!

I'm getting very excited about Sunday and meeting everyone. Had a slight change of plans. My daughter will be coming with me instead of DH. We will be there between 12:30 and 1:00.
