Sunday, April 27th Trip to Hostajim's and Dragonfly

Please post on this thread if you plan to attend the upcoming fabulous event! I dmailed Jim for directions and will dmail them to all of you that sign up on here! Susy and I are talking on the phone right now (she's waving.) We where thinking that we should all bring a brown bag lunch and we can have a picnic (possibly polar, bring your down jacket and pocket warmers) at Dragonfly! I'm in for sure! DH maybe but his brother is going to be here from Missoula and is leaving the next day, so likely he won't come. Picnic sounds like fun. It'll be warm that weekend. No, REALLY!

Yes - Kathy & I will come from far from the east, traversing long & treacherous paths to make the pilgrimage to Dragonfly. Especially with food!!!

I've put on my gypsy do-rag, my big hoop earrings, my shawl and swirl skirt of many colors and have dug out the family crystal ball. She says yes...it will be warm(ish). {= S

Well that's a given that it will be warm somewhere - but warm HERE is what counts.

BTW - that was bigger-than-pea-sized hail that I had the opportunity to experience just a bit ago. Now I have popsicle toes & a desire to hibernate. This is not supposed to be...

I just finished putting little "hats" (a 2 liter pop bottle and/or milk jug cut in half) over the new hosta plugs and perennials that I planted. Hope it works.

Hey didn't I say when we where there, That Heidis would be a great place to have picnic. Or maybe I just told Carole that. LOL

Tills ~ My Gypsy regalia is used for anything 'prognosticating' that needs doing. Not worn daily, but pulled out when needed.

RR, I'm going to try to get to Dragonfly. What time are you going to be in Port Orchard?

I am trying to get the day free to go to Jim's and Dragonfly, so I do need directions. I'll be in Ellensburg the day before, and hope everything works out to be back on this side of the mountains on Sunday. Is it possible I could car pool with someone from Jim's house up to Dragonfly?

MHF I would be glad to, I live on this side would be easy for me to take you and then back to the ferry, if you want.

Tilly, If it works out for you to pick me up at the ferry instead of at Jim's that would be great. Now that I'm thinking about it, my DH will need the car to get my son's drum equipment from the High School theater that afternoon. Hey, less money on ferry fare means I can actually buy a couple more plants when we get to Dragonfly. I'll help with gas $. Thats no problem, you will be on the southworth ferry? I just have to remember where it is. been along time since I have been there. LOL I moved from that area in 82, I lived on the same road that Jim's is on.
Wonder what my old house looks like. this is going to be a trip back in time for me. LOL

Rachel ~ I'm along for the ride. I go where everyone else goes, so if the concensus wants to go to the sculptors, I'm in. I think I've seen that guy's place when heading to the Southworth Ferry. There's a sign outside that says "BUY my ART" (if it's the same place).

Kathy - what time do we have to get to where?

+20 minute drive to Port Orchard, so I think we need to take either the 7:50 ferry (puts us at Jim's at 9:10) or the 9:05 ferry (puts us at Jim's at 10:25)

Any suggestions, anybody as to which ferry we should take? I'm thinking the 8:45 Fauntleroy/Southworth Ferry, if it's okay to get there at 9:45, Jim.

Wondering the same. What time are we meeting at Jim's?

I would like to go as well, but whether I can would kind of depend on where Dragonfly and Jim's places are? It sounds like one of the places is in or near Port Orchard? Hmm, this could be tough, but I would really like to go...

catgal: Jim's is in Port Orchard, so we're planning to take the ferry over to there. The ferry trip is between 40 minutes and an hour, with a 20-minute drive to Port Orchard, so it will require a very early start from Woodinville and Sammamish.

Then we'll drive north to Dragonfly and take the ferry back from Kingston to Edmonds.

Go to maps.google.com and type in Port Orchard, washington to Kingston, washington. It will give you a map of the area, so you can plan.

cat gal, if you would like a ride over let me know.we could meet at my house and take one car and split the fairy cost. Just a suggestion. Still need to find out what time the faries leave.

Reminds me I need to get my fairies back out to the fairy garden - I take most of them in for the winter. And still some frogs to go to the frog garden, and some children to the childrens' gardens.
