OP, love that sign!

Thanks Adel. That is one interesting Junco!

Elphaba, love those feeding the babies picture.

What a great picture, Holly! Geez, she needs to rest after that effort -- bet she could also use some Prep H! LOL

Great posting everyone
Holly, LOL you'll have to dedicate a large portion of your yard to that Robin, just to feed that chick, when it hatches.

I now have a bunch of sparrows, now which? Correct me if I"m wrong on my guessing.

This one a Song Sparrow.

the Bohemian Waxwings are here almost everyday, now. Not in big numbers as before, 3 or 4 at a time. I'm really enjoying them.

This American Goldfinch, is by his lonesome so far.

Correct on all except the last, which is another Chipping Sparrow, not an American Tree Sparrow.

Thanks for confirming Resin, I've made, the correction on that last one.

Rose, the Buntings are very spooky at first, but I have found the longer they stay the more relaxed they get. I saw another Painted at the feeder when I came home tonight, and could hear numerous Indigos in the bushes...I am still amazed there are still so many here. Hope I can get a few more pics tomorrow.

Brainerd, MN

Not a boring pic among them Elphaba! Great shots everybody!

Not a lot of action today. I haven't refilled the feeders since the snow is now gone. I'm giving the juncos and sparrows a chance to clean up all the seed on the ground. Will have to clean and fill the smaller thistle feeders now that I see the goldfinches did survive (and are turning color).

Scared up a hawk when I entered the yard a short while ago. Couldn't tell which.

Elphaba, I would have been shocked that you didn't have a witch in the garden, considering your name!!

Thanks everyone, That big blue egg is a water feature near my front door. It has a bubbler in it. I was just going out to turn it on and there sat that robin. Made me laugh all day.
I took this a couple of weeks ago at a Wildlife Refuge near my daughters home. There is a path that goes all the way around the lake about a 3 mile walk. Very nice place with quite a few birds and other animals. It's covered with American Water Lotus in the summer and the smell is just wonderful. About the only bad thing is that the interstate runs pretty close to it and there is almost always traffic noise you just don't get that out in the woods feeling, but it really is a beautiful place.

Nice pics nanny and Holly! I'm sure that is a beautiful place!

Enjoyed the photos everyone. I'm glad so many towns are preserving green space and ponds like yours Holly.

I don't know what's going on, but I'm not getting the abundance of birds I normally have this time of year. A couple goldfinches a few days ago, but none now - I hear them in the evergreens. I purchased fresh nyjer yesterday thinking the old seed was stale.

Marlton, NJ

I'm not having many birds around either but I know what my problem is:
Grackles and Starlings! grrrr

Marlton, NJ

Have you guys w/ new birds entered them on your yardbirder list?

I saw 2 pairs of Ospreys the other day.

Brainerd, MN

I can hear lots of birds but few are in my yard right now. I assume the reason for that is nest building and mating. The redpolls have finally left. The Juncos are not so many now.

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Great pics since I checked in last everyone!

Yesterday was cold and overcast but today the sun is finally shining. Indeed...according to the weather report spring is finally here with no more freezing temps (I hope)! We have lots of birds and they are eating like crazy and pairing off and just plain acting silly!

Gardenpom...thanks for the info on the Indigo Bunting! I hope he becomes less skittish so I can get a few good pics of him! Right now as soon as he sees me he flies off..but I am just happy to have him here. Yesterday he flew onto a branch next to a male Bluebird...wish I could have gotten a shot of that!!

Everybody... enjoy your birding day!

Hebron, KY

Super pics everyone!

I had a marvelous early a.m. run/walk through the neighborhood and cemetery. Caught 3 northern flickers doing some really goofy head nodding, tails fanned dancing. And the noise! They were all over the cemetery. A squirrel just missed being take-out for a red-tailed hawk. The whimpering little guy was hugging a tree trunk for all it was worth.

Sybil - I guess that's what's going on here, too. Birds are everywhere . . . but not at my feeders. But it's fun to watch.

By the way, everyone, Pelle asked me to start a new thread when we're ready. So please watch for it later today.
