Okay, Junco report… I haven't seen a single junco today. And I'm not sure I saw one yesterday either.
Saw the chipping sparrow for the first time in months today
Summer arrivals . . . Sibley maps them as summer only in IL, tho' resident further south (up to about the KY/TN border)

Mrs. Ed...Those Chipping Sparrows are just the sweeted looking birds. The pics of the Downy are great and that last one is a hoot!!
We had lots of rain today and the birds are in a panic eating like there's no tomorrow!

The Flickers are beautiful birds, but some days they go on and on and on! A moment or two of silence is nice. They are in th little woods right across from our house. I am sure they will probably nest there too. SO will have little flickers before long. They have wrapped it up for the day now. So all is getting quiet for the evening!
