Links to other data bases in the Plants Database

I am probably talking about something already existing. With Go_Vols push on to add data to the plant data base - which is an excellent idea -I have several weeds I am going to add - the following idea came to mind. If we know of a website which has great detail on a particular plant is it possible to insert hyperlinks to other sites into the plant data base under a heading like "Additional Information"?
If they are already there I apologize but I have not run across any yet in my limited times in the data base.

Grazdpa_Jack, at first blush I would say "sure, that'd be great" but......my concern is that links often change. And when a general description entry is created, it can only be edited the whoever creates it. So if you PROMISE to stick around to maintain the link......

I'll defer to Dave, tho since he really bears the responsibility for weeding out dead links within this website.

Oh, please get those weeds in there - we need them catalogued as much as we need to know the names and descriptions of the "purty" stuff we grow!!!!!

This'll be fine, but as vols said, you'll have to promise to update the link if it ever changes.

Our first priority is giving original content to the database, where possible. This way, we know the content will always be available for everyone's use and enjoyment, no matter what happens to a site elsewhere.

When we cannot fulfill the original content, linking to a site that specifically gives content about that plant is a fine alternative.
