Daily Pics Vol.# 93

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

This is one of my frustration photos of the day. A Northern Parula that came by early in the morning before there was enough light. He's the tiny blue spec in the center. Using the flash didn't work. Not using the flash didn't work. Frustrating! I also had a Common Yellowthroat come by but he's headless in the only clear photo! Maybe tomorrow.

Wow Rose Alphaba and GP, The colors in your birds are really striking.
DH and I picked up some Crabapples from the front yard and spread them in the backyard. Around super time, I had Robins and Waxwings in the backyard gorging on the apples, closer to where I could get better pics, of them.

Had a few pigeons, that stood on neighbors shed, trying to decide if they should drop by.

Burn, I'm jealous that your birds get to eat crabapples! I love living in the south, but I do miss crabapples and crabapple sauce. Great shots and a smart idea.

Elphaba...Congrats on the Parula. Never seen one of those and I think your pic looks pretty darn good!

Burn...Great idea on the Crabapples and you got some wonderful shots. DH and I are going to plant some crabapple trees, mainly because you made me aware of how good they are for the birds!

Here's another window shot from today, Male Cardinal and Goldfinch sharing some sunflower seeds.

Wow! Nice pics everybody! It was so yucky here today...slim pickens for photos.

It was very dark and overcast today so these are not very good!

Pelle Rose Ephaba thanks for nice comment.
Elphaba did you use the really small CA for your sauce? Or was it the bigger ones?

I had to spread them, because there was a Robin, that was chasing the Waxwings and other Robins away. So by spreading it, everyone could get some. And I'd get to keep the waxwings around. I've put some in a silo, with perch, and hung it in the tree, but had no takers so far.
Rose you'll love those trees in the spring, They are so full of blooms it's amazing.

Marlton, NJ

They are beautiful trees when in bloom! I'd love to get one for the front yard.

Another great thread! Thanks Everyone!
