BEAUTIFUL COLORS!
Tigerlily, the Rufous is gorgeous! Great thread everyone!
Cormorant
Actually, an Anhinga - note the long tail, and long slender neck and bill

They look like Lesser Scaup to me.
This picture is positively horrible that I shouldn't share it, but I'm just too excited! I'd been hearing a Northern Flicker but I haven't seen him since February which was the first time that I'd ever seen one. Today, after running around the neighborhood with my camera and binoculars following his call, I finally found him after I'd given up was walking in my back gate. Transformers, more than meets the eye.
Great pics everyone!
GP, you had a very good day!
tiger those Rufous are beautiful!
sybil, Good for you!!
Hi Al, Good to see you; nice pic!
Adel, Good one of the Fox Sparrow!
Elphaba, Nice pics!!
Hope I didn't miss anyone!
Dellrose, Would you like to start the next Daily Pics?
Gardenpom, your bird shots make me want to move to Florida! What kind of seed is that that your Painted Bunting is enjoying? The one that I saw last year came at the end of April, so I want to be ready!
Nice pic Debin!
Thanks, Pelle. :)
The Painted Buntings are eating Finch Seed Mix and cracked Sunflower Seeds.
