Wow, Kayly - I've never seen one so dark. That's bee-yoo-tee-full!

I think my camera makes colors a little more saturated than they are in real life, but yes...this particular bleeding heart does have darker colored flowers than many I've seen. Still, I think this photo is a bit more like it...

And I had my one and only trillium, which I just purchased at the Southeastern Wisconsin Master Gardeners plant sale, bloom today! They were selling these one to a customer...so this one's unique in my garden. Some day I hope it will create some friends. ;)

Over-saturated flowers are a good thing >smile< .

For me it is summer here, once the oleanders and desert willows are blooming. They bloom until Nov. We are having nice warm days, cool in the shade under the trees and porches so I have been spending as much time outside as possible and not checking in here!

This is another sign of summer, blooms on the lantana which have been here for about 3 weeks I think. ; )

Delphinium starting to bloom. The tag with this plant (purchased this year) said that it was 'Magic Fountain Mix,' but I think it's wrong. Looks like a variety of D. x belladonna to me. If anyone can tell, let me know. :)
