Best/Worse and What did I learn today? Friends pt.38

Victoria Harbour, ON

Good afternoon everyone, it's a beautiful day in my neighborhood (lol) sky is blue, winds are extremely high, but there is 'sunshine' so all is well..
Not quite, shucks, a gift sat on my desk of every episode made of 'Two and a half men' which I love watching - 18 Cd's..so I was a happy camper..turned on the t.v. and dvd player which is only about 2 yrs. old and only used maybe 3 or 4 times and it wouldn't work, so I played with it for awhile, the Wayne came in and tried it, couldn't get it working, so I've a trusted tool kit here in my desk, started to take it apart, Wayne came in and had a fit that I was playing with electricity item and made me put it in the garbage, (only to appease him) Paul came in and saw me playing with it again so he took the tools and took it apart, played with it for 1/2 hr. and finally it's in it's resting place - the office garbage...so will have to pick up another..they are cheap enough...so then I e-mailed Jeff and he told me to use the computer to play them..well I tried that and couldn't get it to work..so finally decided to wait till I get home...

Called Sharon as it's her birthday today (DS) and had I thought about bringing in my car I'd have gone and taken her out for supper...told her we'd get together in the next week or so..need to go to Meaford as I need a birdhouse and a garden art piece so I can mail out to my swaps and she's always wanted to go, so I'll meet her 1/2 way and then we can travel together and do some shopping and I'll treat her..have a butterfly and a dragonfly piece for her gift but will still treat her!

I'll be driving in tomorrow on my own as Suzanne is going to write her paralegal exam..brought in my gps as her exam location is downtown and she's not that familiar witht he area so it should help her out...so, decided I would leave the house at about 6:30am and there is at Canal Rd. and Hwy 400 a flower/plant warehouse that sells to all the businesses but individuals can go in..they open at 7:30 am - they sell plants, arrangements etc. so I'll spend an hour looking for something special for 'me/me/me'..then I'll spend lunch at Michael's to pick up materials I need for all the painted wine glasses and a quick trip home to the stained glass studio for 'green' glass to complete my front window hanging and then it will be 'class time' at 7pm..talk about a planned out day..lol...should be tired and broke by the time it's 'bed time'...

Spoke with Darlene last night and Mike is doing great and might even get out of this Friday if he behaves..he had his 2nd knee done, so that's a relief..they are so kind to me it's unbelievable...was worried but he came out of it like a trooper...young man to have had both knees operated on...

I'll post this before I loose it..want to go back and comment but know if I start playing the 'back and forth' posting I'll loose everything..so be right back...

Fredericksburg, VA(Zone 7b)

Well, fancy that, I got the first chair!! LOL
Sunshine and wind here also. I've opened every window in the house and it is wonderful! We had 2 days of drizzle and rain, so I couldn't do much outside. Did pick up some small limbs that had been blown down and added them to the going to the dump pile out in front. I know the neighbor's must just love us, but nobody has offered to help move, haul or do or help with the mortgage payment now that I think of it.........grin

Well Dave has had his April 1 joke. That had to be some of the hottest pink I've seen in awhile. It was even brighter than what I have on my tools. Wonder if that comes in a gel? LOL

Did some moving of junk in the hallways and vacuumed that area. DS is suppose to be bringing us another washer, because my old one died and wasn't worth fixing for the cost. He's going to help DH move out the old one and bring in the new one, so I had to open up the hallways. Couple of things are too heavy for me, so I'll help DH with those. DH has been using the laundromat. He has his own little "harem" going down there. I just hate to go to the laundromat, and he doesn't mind. I think he enjoys the interaction and helping people. I'm a lucky woman :)

Victoria Harbour, ON

Laura, do you have fur floating all around the house..know that until I learnt the proper way of cutting I had more hair/fur around the house than on the teddy..I'm sure you know that when cutting you cut only through the lining from the back and not cutting through the entire piece..right? Anyway, had meant to take the books in today to photo copy a few patterns but forgot them, one only can remember so many crafts when leaving for work..lol..now one teddy is cut and pinned (she couldn't find one arm so I'll look at fabricland this weekend for something similar (or we could change it somewhat) then she has a brown BIG TEDDY cut and enough fur to do several more..will take photo tonight if I remember ... and I'll make a pkg. to send out..

Liz, no news on the tests, usually takes about 7 to 10 days so I'll probably wait till next week to hear...although I just dislike it when they say 'no news is good news, if you don't hear from us then nothing is wrong' ok.ok but what if they loose the file, misplace it etc. and something was terribly wrong..so I will track down the results I promise..

Carol, just about 10 minutes ago it was blue sky and now it's overcast..rained heavily all last night and I really should have had some 'duckie' to wear this am as the back yard had lots of water..hate to think what I'll find when I get home..worry about the snow storms, now we worry about flooding, come summer we'll worry about drought as they say spring will be colder than usual but summer will be warmer...so poor Mother Nature just can't win can she...glad you have everything under control...can't wait to see the garden art furniture your son will give you...last week I was so gung ho on doing a little country garden and making my storage shed country looking..bought the wood to do faux windows, got the pattern items I needed copied, even painted the boards black - ready to start, then the roof of my gazebo feeder took more wood than anticipated so voila...need more supplies..

Jeannine, I'm watching Dancing with the stars as well, watched the 1st 2 and then fell asleep..don't they get rid of someone tonight??? It's t.v. bingo night but I usually hop channels in between numbers called, probably why I never win...grin/grin.... sounds as though you made a killing in the seed dept. aren't the Mortgage Lifter tomato species you mentioned heirloom seeds and difficult to come by??? bet you are pleased as punch..

Lordy it's not even 3pm yet..this day has been a long day (especially when I couldn't watch movies) lol..maybe I should tell the boss I need his vehicle and run over to Walmart to pick up a new dvd player...

Jeff was here last night (he's the one that left me all the movies..such a 'sweetie') and I was sorry to have missed him..he's off on Friday morning with GS Caleb and Braedon to the Tropics for a week, hope they enjoy..was part of their Christmas present, so won't be seeing them this weekend or next..Jeff has a place just about 5 miles from here, left me a note trying to encourage me to spend the week so that I'd not have to travel..that's ok but what does one do with a dog and 2 cats..lol..with travelling so nice here now I'd hate not sleeping in my own bed..

Yuk, I wore slacks with elastic band today but I can feel myself growing by the minute..bigger than the size of a nine month pregnant woman carrying tripplets again..uncomfortable..started this morning but it's back..
Just know they'll come back and say they've found nothing..if they do, guess I'm going out to pick up an entire new wardrobe from the maternity shop..won't they be talking..should go tonight and pick something up - it is April Fools day right..can you just see them gabbing about an old lady my age being pregnant...

Judy, last but not least..just loved the photo's, can't get over the amount of work you've done...or should I say 'Steve' lol..but I'm sure you had part in the design...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Doc, yep, saw the hot pink brought me down memory lane..had an outfit when I was 13, about the same color..lol..infact think one of my new outfits has flowers about the same..can sure see one coming...

Nothing worse that having no washing machine...so cute, harem at the laundromat..can't you just picture him there, box of soap, looking lost and having the women offering their laundry hints...do you think he'll keep up the laundry once you've got the machine hooked up??? maybe it could be his new chore...

How wonderful to have your windows open..maybe this weekend they are calling for 10 so that would be what...in mid 50's I think..too old to catch on to all this metric stuff...anyway, I'm hoping I can spend time outside..won't be able to clear debris as you've been doing because of snow so I do envy you being able to have an early start in the yard...

Are you able to burn your branches etc.? Can you have a burning pit..we are and I've a large deep one that I put chairs around to enjoy a bonfires so it makes it easy for cleaning up..

Richmond, VA(Zone 7a)

Betty, we watch Two & a Half Men too. It's a riot and DH and I are amazed at what the sensors let get thru! Have you watched The Big Bang Theory which is on right before Two...? It is hilarious! So I'm sure they will take it off. It's about 4 NERDY chemical engineers or something like that and they are a riot!

Well, just walked outside to go over and find something for lunch at one of our other bldgs and it is warm and windy here.

Be back later.....

Richmond, VA(Zone 7a)

Betty, yep Mortgage Lifter is an heirloom but I easily found it on eBay. This one guy in WA state sells nothing but heirloom seeds - TONS and all very reasonably priced. You should check him out (Heirloomvegetables). You've got plenty of time to get some seeds going before all that snow melts!! He had some really neat heirloom tomatoes! I can't wait to have a tomato sandwich!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Jeannine, don't do veggies really because there is only me and a quick stop at the country market and I can get everything I need so better stick to flowers...
Now I have started mega ziplock bags of seeds and if I don't watch out I'll be cutting flowers for my table, that's how fast they seem to be growing, so, must do something by the weekend...I did them much to soon, won't be able to plant for 6 -8 weeks from now..

Haven't watched that show, but do love Two and a half men..so now I have every episode..18 dvd's..should be fun..

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

morning all....

yes i am trying to cut just the backing.. its a tricky job!! and yes MESSY!

i will have to take a pic of the one i have finished and post it if i can find my camera!

Glenview, IL

Good Afternoon!
Geesh been a busy day here, for a nice change.
Thank you all very much about our House. We have a lot of fun renovating her, learning her history and enjoying the area. Yes, I am so very proud of Steve and this monumental project. To answer a few questions:

Betty, it takes 3 hours door to door.

Dawn, What you were seeing by lake was not oil, That is the sandy bottom. Each season we go out and Rake the bottom to achieve this. We have crystal clear water during Spring and Fall, unfortunatley almost the entire lake gets filled with this green stuff called milfoil. There are giant water mowers that go up and down the main thorough of the lake to cut out the weeds and the middle clear...for the boats. I understand all of what gets cut out goes to the local farmers as it makes incredibly wonderful compost! LOL makes me want to bring some home...Not as it is super smelly. People are fined very heavily if any gas or oil is filled anywhere near the water. They are Very very strict about this. If a boat needs gas we have to pull it out of the water and take to a gas station. Absolutley no gas stations on the lake. Which is wonderful.
Also, Yes, we actually got the house for a Steal! It was left to be left to the County after The owner was entered into the local Nursing home, she still resides there. I think she is like 80 something years old. Old Santa Bernerd passed away many years ago. So the story is They wanted to leave the estate to the county thinking that they would turn the parcel of land into a state park kind of thing. But because the actual owner is still alive The county said they had to do something with the building because of it's condition. So the family very reluctantly put it up for sale. They were in the process of rehabbing it themselves. However the son, died suddenly leaving three sisters to finish and they didn't have the resources, very sad. The family owned the estate since it was a single room cabin! Built in I think 1902.

Oh my gosh, Shar, Betty, Ruby...I sure hope you all feel better very quickly here. My goodness.

Laura, So glad you are enjoying the teddy bear making. So you going to show us when theyare done?? I hope so. Good to see you have been feeling good too, getting back to yourself is great! Beleive me I do know. So keep, keeping on!

Doc, wow you have been super Busy. That is nice of DS to go do your laundry...too cute on his haram!

Betty, My you have a ton of seeds started...hope you get them in containers soon.
Happy birthday to Sharon! Sounds like you will have a nice meal together in her honor. And wow you will be exhausted with your schedualed day! whew i was tired myself after reading all you have going on tomorrow.

Sharon, Oh goodness. hoping you are gaining better health each day. Yow that was one heck of a reaction. I sure can feel your frustration, with all that medicine. So hopefully something will take hold and wipe things out.

Carol, good to see your making headway. Not overdoing.

Well....Had a meeting today! I am going back in time, Gave me a bunch of clerical work...faxing, some basic data entry, lookups of info! Big heavy sighs, well at least I'll be busy for a couple of hours during the week! Stamping foot, at least I don't have to file. and yes this is on top of any of my projects.

So, we had some rain, today too. Even a sun shower, but it is quite chilly! More rain on the way, good for plants.

Oh, almost forgot! DD#1 got hired today!! Woohoo, she will be working in the evening for UPS! Very exciting, good pay, benefits are great, they even pay for schooling. Starts on the 15th. big happy smiles.

ok, days over, back to laundry...see you all later
Glad you all enjoyed my pictures!

Jim Falls, WI(Zone 4a)

Yes Judy enjoyed the pictures and that light fixture is fantastic. If it is ever missing do not come to my house looking for it! LOL Hurray on your DD getting hired at UPS. i have had the same driver for 30 years. Hope she likes it.

Sharran another great story. They just are so easy and fun to read.

Laurie waiting for pictures of the bears. I know you are at work.

all I can remember it has been a busy day. I think the pink color burned out part of my brain.

Have to go in to work early tomorrow so If I'm not too tired when I get home hope to post more then.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Well I'm home, now who would have thunk it - lol - that half way home we'd hit a snow storm..it was 52 degrees at same location, 59 degrees in Toronto and when I hit the same location that posted 52 degrees it was now down to 29..wind howling - 85 kl. winds..but good news...no flooding..guess we had a flash freeze..one never knows...

Shar loved your story once again..what a great writter..between Laura and Judy and yourself, I'm overwhelmed by the writting talent..

Suzanne is nervous about writting her Paralegal exam tomorrow..she has done much studying but concerned about the 125 legal questions..I'm sure she'll do fine..

Judy, bet you enjoyed your busy day..know how the days are long when there is nothing to do..OMG UPS isn't that fantastic..now is it a summer job and she'll return to school in the fall ? Just think she'll have her own $$$..now you are in trouble...wow 3 hrs. is quite a ride but worth it..one question you didn't answer is 'how often do you go? only on long weekends or every weekend...Steve is a builder by trade is he not or was his 2nd love landscaping? questions/questions...lol

Vicki are you still as busy as ever? Lots of heavy work? no wonder you are tired when you get home...

Laura, going to try and take photo of June's 'treasures' that she gave me for you...looking forward to your photo and 1st bear..

Well, had lunch at Chinese restaurant, had them put it in take out even though I was eating in, wasn't too hungry so brought it home..having my soup now and will keep it for tomorrow evening because the painting girls usually arrive about 10 minutes after I get home so I'm one supper ahead..Didn't pick up t.v. bingo cards as I think a bath, soup and early to bed might be in order...but, Greg phoned to say he was dropping in for a few minutes to visit so don't want him fretting about me so will wait till he leaves before retiring early...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Must keep busy till Greg gets here...no one home all day, no cleaning to do, don't cook so no cleaning to do..lol so I get time to play and post...boring life right...some days not all!

GITA need help, look what happened..someone said put in ziplock bags, done that and now guess I need to find earth for inside before they die and so they grow for the next 6 to 8 weeks...

Victoria Harbour, ON

True to your word the root system worked themselves into the paper towels so I've carefully unlodged them ..I've about 150 seed pods downstairs here on the craft table and they are growing well just not as well as those in the ziplock but then I probably won't have to remove them, I'll be able to plant them directly into the soil right??? I'm not a gardener...should have waited I guess for the real spring to arrive...

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Victoria Harbour, ON

Enough about me,

Laura, these are the books June gave me to trace patterns out for you...great books..

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Victoria Harbour, ON

Think there are 3 teddies already cut out..brown ones are really large

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Victoria Harbour, ON

Here is the extra fur, not sure if you also want it..
I'm laughing, I hate to mention I need something or someone I know needs something because sure as h..l I find it on my craft table days later...kind of dumping ground one would say...not really, all kind ladies/gents willing to share..even with strangers...so will pack some of it up and off to Australia it goes..should be there for Christmas...

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Victoria Harbour, ON

One last post, promise...

Thought Laura that you might enjoy doing this if you knit..much easier than the fur...

it's done with eyelash wool, and it's knit all in one, not a full teddy, the head/arms/legs etc and outfit ..not a full bear..only parts...

I love your teddies. I have a friend who makes custom makes them and sells them on the big craft show circuit. She really does lovely work. If we ever get things out of storage I'll have to take some pictures.

I've given you the wrong impression of my DH at a laundromat. He know how to do laundry no problem. He does help the older ladies with some of the heavy things around there. And as they have a lot of Hispanic customers who are a bit confused, he's really good about helping them with the machines as well. Roses to his Grandmother who raised him and the US Army. I have a true treasure, he can cook, sew, do laundry, iron and all the other household chores that any woman can do, no problem. He knows I hate the laundromat and try muscle baskets of clothes is not good for my back, so he does it for us. n We trained both of our sons the same way, and it's a good thing since neither of the girls could cook much when they first got together.........LOL

Richmond, VA(Zone 7a)

Hi All - I am actually able to get online tonight!! Since it was so warm when I got home, I headed out to my garden to check on my stones. Well, they look great and I think they are curing just fine. Lots of mud though where I'm working.

Here are some pictures from this afternoon. The first one is looking into my garden from the front entrance. The new stones are going around the center herb garden. Off to both sides you can see where I am putting the new stones.

Thumbnail by Gardengirl1204
Victoria Harbour, ON

Well Doc..you can send him my way..just the kind of guy I'm looking for...and no, you didn't give me wrong impression, was just leading you on..

As for the teddies, have done some but these are projects unfinished and patterns that my girlfriend June didn't do and wanted me to send them to Laura...I've enough projects and unfinished projects laying around..

Kyle and Greg just left so it's off to bed I go..Kyle has his left eye completely bandaged..apparently they will try to have him do this 4 times a day so he can't use it...I worry that he'll loose his sight ... getting worse as he ages ...

Carol, are you getting this snow???

So I'll say goodnight to you all,

Best of my day..coming home to a 'no flood' basement
Worse of my day..of course the bad weather coming home, spring almost had me convinced that it had arrived...
What did I learn today? Although I tried and took a dvd player apart...I'm not a technician...but I did manage not to electrocute myself...

Wow Jeannine, you've done a marvellous job..as I said before the mold I bought was the 'bricks' and I'm not fond of it..so will drop into Rona and Home Depot one day soon and purchase the same as yours...

Your garden looks so very tidy..and listen to you talking about how hot it is...change you places...lol

Night/night - 4:30 a.m. comes early and it's my painting night so makes for long day...for those of you just starting your evening....enjoy...for those ending it...sleep tight!

Richmond, VA(Zone 7a)

And looking back at the other..

Thumbnail by Gardengirl1204
Victoria Harbour, ON

Now I got to do me a walkway...have most of the side and pathway to pond and garden done with large rhubbarb leaves, but need a few more walkways...hope I'm 1/4 successful as to what you've just shown..like the fennel idea..

Victoria Harbour, ON

I am so laughing Jeannine, I type, say goodnight and see we've cross posted, so I type a response, say goodnight and see we've cross posted..we could continue this all night couldn't we...

Richmond, VA(Zone 7a)

So I will probably need to do 2 more full stones then piece together the corners so they flow. Luckily, I can make a full stone and then take the pieces apart and move them around if needed.

And lastly, here's one of Murphy. He was on the kitchen floor just watching me make dinner and I thought he looked so cute!

Thumbnail by Gardengirl1204
Richmond, VA(Zone 7a)

OK - you can go to bed now Betty - I'm done. Sleep tight!

Fredericksburg, VA(Zone 7b)

GG, YOU are an enabler! I bought the mold from Lowes' and am dying to try it out. I just have to wait for our rain to quit. Your new work looks beautiful. and looks like your worn Murphy out......LOL My Frog and Tank both lay down like that, back legs splayed out behind them. So goofy.

Betty, you are a stinker. Sorry no loaning on my treasure unless there is large amounts of cash money involved........LOL After 36 year I think it's just too hard to break in another one..........grin Btw, I sent you and e-mail and am waiting for your response. I do have to laugh at him, I had to talk like crazy for 6 months into getting him to let me set up a worm bin in my laundry room. The bin is set up, the worms arrived from a fellow DGer and he was out last night with a flashlight after the rain, collecting earthworms. I got to push him out of the way to get a look, even..........LOL We have them in both bins, and they have been er very busy making more new worms and great casting. We've only had them about a month and now he is talking about doing a larger wooden worm bin outside, complete with insulation etc so we can have more..LOL Men, what can I say?????? LOL

Glenview, IL

OMG, GG, what a wonderful walkways!! Told DH about yours and thats what I would like to put at the front doorway. yours are tryuely and inspiration. I really like the press you incorporated. You are really doing an awsom job on your gardens. How is the green house plantings going? Was sorry to learn you had lost some of the tomatoes, have you started any new ones?

lol doc, yep hang on to your prize.

Betty, Had to giggle out loud! You are so cute...Oh, sorry about that, thought I got all the questions. Lets see it really all depends on whats going on in IL with the kids running all over and have events we work around them. If nothing is planned we will go just about every weekend. Now that I am back to work, possibly will make longer weekends of it. Was nice in the beginning because I had all summer off, we stayed for weeks at a time, we just pack up birdie and away we went. heheh that was before I discovered DG. And it all depends on DH's work schedual. DH does not do landscaping unless I hire him for projects. I get small jobs here and there and depending on the size will hire a crew. I have had up to 4 people plus myself to do landscaping. Most of my clientel are from work, because talk so much about gardening. Mostly clean up and tear out and re-sod. I did a fun little job building a dry wall for this lady. That was an experience and I learned I am darned cheap! One big thing I learned is never ever draw up a quick plan in front of someone, did once and they used it and had someone else lay the project!!

Oh golly DD is very excited about the job! She will work evenings for now until summer school at the Jr. College. She is planning on taking a course and working around that. In fall she will also be attending classes at the same college. She wants to knock out the 2 year program before deciding what she really wants to do. LOL, she changes her mind every other day so we'll see.

Ok next load calling, LOL

Hope you have a good night Betty and anyone else gone to sleep...LOL Good morning if you already are sleeping.
Hi to everyone else...Be back in a bit!

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Betty----I hear your call!.....hellllloooo........help!.......

Well! I think you just kept your seeds way too long in the paper towels. Usually, 3-5 days is all you want to keep them in this state. Just to break the dormancy of the seed.

The whole moist-paper-towels thing is to soften up the seeds so they can sprout easier once you plant them. NOT to have them grow their tap-roots entangled into your moist paper towels! WHAT plant is it that you posted the picture of????? Do tell!

Now--just wiggle them free and pot them up in spacious cell packs (all the way up to the bottom of the seed) or--go directly to 3" or 4" pots so you don't have to mess with all the in-between transplanting. Every time you transplant anything, it is stress on the seedling.

For seedlings, "transitions" are always a stress-producing event. Take care and be gentle. Plant them in seed starting mix all the way up to where the root comes out of the seed. Since NO starter leaves have yet emerged, you are still dealing with a sprouting seed. You need to bury the whole root that is there.

Like me---I also did many things too soon. Live and learn!

Gita

I am not sure if I needed different medium to trasplant these in but too late now, the one I used was too course.

How could this morning NOT be God sent????

Up extra early, nothing to do in the house so left with coffee in hand..got to Canal Rd. which is 3/4 of the way to the office, tunes playing, sun shinning and dropped into the flower garden centre...OMG plants everywhere as were freezers of cut flowers..they had an extra large bouquet of flowers for only $10.00 (I mean huge) probably cost about $40.00 in the store so it was 'I must have' and then while paying they had a pot of Gerber (?) daisies, beautiful flowers in red so a 'must' and then sitting in a corner was a beautiful geranium, the flutted kind - purple and white so it was also a 'must' now I put everything in the vehicle, turn it around and a thought came to me, better go back in and purchase another bouquet for Melanie (DIL)..might as well make someone elses day... so now it truly is work time, off I go only to pass, well not quite, had to make a little detour as I saw 'roses' OPEN..what an establishment..imagine, a dozen of roses for $5.00 so how could I not pick up a dozen to decorate my office desk...

I could have stained in the greenhouses all day and helped out..the rose centre had about 20 humungous greenhouses filled with rose plants and people walking by and snipping blooms to sell..oh lordy, what I wouldn't have given to stay and play..free labor..am sure they would have agreed...

Then I picked up a dozen donuts for everyone and before coming upstairs got my daily western sandwich and coffee and that my dear friends is how my morning has gone up till now and it's only 9:00 am...surely the day will continue to bring joy into my life...spring if not outside and at home, it's certainly in my office...

Gita, I have my car here in the city so today I'll take a run to Home Depot to purchase some soil and maybe the $$$ store for some kind of trays, I've gone this far, don't want to loose them all, besides the grandsons need their beds back..lol

I sat patiently last night and untangled almost all of them from the paper towel so I'm hoping I did not damage them....the seeds I received from you I numbered as per the package that I numbered incase the name got erased, so will have to check out the names...

Laura, how exciting for you, I remember how I was, on cloud 9 when I got mine so know it made your day..did you think to notice the posting date..I'll have to find out how things are mailed to you, I usually pay the higher amount they tell me thinking it will arrive quick/quick but no go..now why can you not find your camera, come on girl, we need photo's .. go searching..you are starting to sound like your old self and that is bringing a big smile to this wrinkled old face..lol...

Liz, the wait is endless with regards to the building, we're always just one step shy of the signing...guess we have to be patient...

Tropicana, going to send the police out in search for you..guess you are involved with the greenhouse??? lots of plants?? let us know how you are doing..

Shar do you have the roses planted yet? First thing I thought of this morning when I was at the rose greenhouse was your policeman story...
Are you gaining strength..you certainly didn't have any weight to part with.. Will Ethan be visiting this weekend..you'll soon be able to get his little cart out so he can help you..he'd love that wouldn't he...

Carol, did you get the storm last night and the drop in temps..am hoping it will help your water problem..what we really need is gradual increase in temps and sunshine...the weather forcaster said that we will have a cold spring but summer will have higher than normal temps..so that's something to think about...when will DS be delivering your treasures...again, we have to make a game plan to meet for lunch somewhere..I'd love that..
