60 and overcast.
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 16
It hit 60!!! Yay!! and it's even looking a little brighter at the moment! Too bad I have to go out.
49 degrees and brightening up a tad. I am now inspired to head out to do some more spring cleaning. But no burn pile today. The fire roasted Hot dogs last night served to me in bed by my DH with a glass a wine were great. Congrats Victor on the Mets win.
Here's my current day:
Cloudy
54°
Wind: Southerly at 15mph
Humidity: 94%
Dewpoint: 52°
Pressure: 29.83 in.
Windchill: 49°
It's raining! How convenient that the rain is washing the snow away.
and the warm rain will penetrate the ground frost and call the perennials to break forth.
Sorry I got carried away, watching a documentary on W.Sheakspere.
Jo Ann
The sun will come out tomorrow..... lalala lala laaaaa. Well it will. Anyway I hope by thursday it will have dried out enough to get the new shrub border measured and marked. Still plenty of wind and drizzle with a balmy 61 degrees.
67 here! But cloudy and drizzly. Tomorrow will be a full day in the garden. Sunny and about 50 - perfect!
Beautiful, Patti!! But not fair!
Wow! I guess your incredibly hard work the last few years really paid off!! I saw two crocuses almost in bloom emerging from the snow today! Boy that cheered me up!
April fools! Patti
Sneak! You got me!
Got me too - you've been ahead of us wit everything else. I was going to ask about the deer!
Nice shot, WC!
WC2, another great bird picture from you. Thanks
Sorry, I couldn't resist. But I do have a couple of narcissus out, 'Gipsy Queen' from Brent and Becky (1 YYW-WWY) division 1, trumpet; Tiny soft yellow trumpet that starts out all yellow but it's cup turns white as it matures and it is under 6" blooming in the early spring and it is planted on the east side of the house. Picture not good, but I will take a better one tomorrow. It was blowing too hard. Here is one of my bulb guards. Patti
Patti - what a pretty piece of property you have there! Those tulips are gorgeous no matter when they were in bloom!
Sue - I'd also like to send you an official welcome!
Victor - hope your little guy had a nice birthday!! What was his favorite present??? Did you let him play with your handcuffs (it WAS a special occasion, after all!)
Candyce - Wow - looks like it is starting to warm up where you are...Yay!! Get out and take lots of good deep breaths!!!
ooohh WC that birdie picture is beautiful!
Allison
Thanks Allison, you're getting quite good with the camera yourself! ☺
just got the camera on Christmas... need to practice a bit more with it... but thanks
We had a spring day here but cooler weather is on the way. It got up to 60 degrees. It rained on and off today but once in a while the sun would come out and it really warmed up and melted some more snow. I also found some green starting to come up in my gardens - YEA!!!!! Eleanor
Nice here, 66, but windy. I worked all day too, so missed out on the mild weather.
It's 66 here and we're having a thunderstorm. I'll bet the temperature plummets!
WC - that photo of the bird in the evergreens is one for the photo contest!! Perfect!!
I thought of you the other day when we had a beautiful wood thrush come to our feeder and citrus trees a couple days in a row. Your cardinal shot has been my desktop background for awhile now......so pretty!
66 Mama!! Whohooo! Now you're cooking!! Spring is really arriving in the NorthEast!!
Hey Louise ....
the crocus, daffs and tulips are up about an inch. As soon as the snow melts, there's green underneath! I walked the garden perimeter at noon and then walked it again right before dinner. It's amazing the plants that appeared in just a few short hours!
Tomorrow brings cooler temps, but not as cold as they have been.
I'm very happy you enjoy it Donnie, it's unique... that shot has not been posted on any website. ☺
edit: (the one on your desktop) ☺

Can't say it was especially warm here at 42 deg, but I did scout around the garden for survivors.
Just starting heavy rain late at night--moving through. Gone by tomorrow ?
I think I can pack away my snow blower now....
Wednesday...Sunny and breezy. Highs in the lower 50s. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Was that Dorothy and Toto???
Thursday...Sunny. Highs in the lower 50s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
Friday...Periods of rain. Highs in the lower 50s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 80 percent.
Saturday...Cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers. Highs in the upper 50s.
Sunday...Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 50s.
Monday...Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 50s.
Tuesday...Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 50s.
April weather is generally wonderful, especially late in April.
Lots of sunshine and strong gusty winds. Temp 35 degrees.
Sunny, windy and 36.
39, sunshine but 34 MPH winds for ELEANOR'S BIRTHDAY. Yes, there's a thread for it.
Wind chill in the 20's! Waiting for it to warm up some before going out.
Wind warnings for entire county---it is howling like January out there. Had to hold my 65lb airedale during the entire thunderstorm last night while trying to root for the UCONN girls--I was covered with drool, but the girls won--maybe a good luck charm from the dale! Too cold & windy to go outside--will start on my mudroom painting project today.
43, sunny and very windy. Feels a lot colder than 43.
Hi everybody! Great bird pics WC! Patti, you totally got me with your April Fool! I was gonna beg you for more photos.
Welcome Sue! Hi phuggins!
Harper
Same temp here. Was going to start planting today but between the windy, cold conditions and the overnight forecast of 22, I think I'll hold off until tomorrow. Maybe I can get a bit more cleanup done today if my little one cooperates.
