Sat's Article - You supply the caption.

Does anyone else NOT get the picture showing on this feature? Is it just me?

I did get the first two as far as I remember, since I haven't seen a picture at all there. I have no problems viewing any other pics on the site, so why should this be?

I see it okay. Nice hair.

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

It seems most people are seeing it, but I don't even get a box with a cross in. Just a big empty space!

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Ah, the famous dreadlocked Dave! Odd that you can't see it.

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

Yes Sue, very odd! I get the description and who gave the photo, nothing in between, just a big blank space.

As I already stated, I can see all other photos on the site.

Sorry you can't see the photo. I'll mention it to Dave and thanks for the report.

Thanks Dea. :~)

In case you can't see the photo, I've included a link on tomorrows article so you can review :) Happy Captioning !

Thanks Dea, the pic is now appearing in the link claypa gave! Like magic, lol.

That's great! Thank you claypa :)

I wonder what's happened, I see no photos again. Not even on the link above.

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

That is weird. I just checked and I can see it fine (both this week's pic and the link above). Do photos in other articles or elsewhere on the site show up OK for you?

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

Yes ecrane, no problems with anything else. It's still not showing up, just checked the link again.

I wish I had more ideas...if it was happening to other people then it's a problem with the article, or if it's happening only to you but it's all the pictures then I could come up with some ideas, but for it to just be you and just be those pictures is very strange! I'm afraid you're going to need someone with more computer skills than me to figure it out! The only thing I can think of is try holding down the shift key and clicking the refresh button in your browser to force it to load the latest version of the page, maybe your computer has saved an older version or something. Or can you right click on the red x (assuming that's what you're seeing instead of the picture) and tell it to show the picture? Or if you're on dialup, sit on that page for a while and give the picture more time to load, maybe that picture is a bigger file size than what's typically in the forums so it is taking a lot longer to load for you? If none of that works you could always try rebooting the computer, that often fixes weird random bugs but since this one is repeating itself I'm not sure it falls in that category!

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

Thanks for the suggestions ecrane, but I don't even get a red cross in a box, no box either, just a blank space with the wording top and bottom of it. The page does finish loading, there is a little circle in the (AOL) tab at the top of a page that is in motion until it loads, then there is a symbol for each web site, in Dave's it's the pink flower.

It's strange that it worked after it was reported, now doesn't again. I wonder what Dave did to make it work. I don't have a probelm with anything on other sites either, so I don't think a reboot will fix it.

Do you have an option to try with another browser? I was assuming you were using IE or Firefox both of which I've tried and the pic shows up fine, but maybe there's some weird thing with your AOL browser and the way the code's written on that particular page.

AOL uses a hybrid IE, but if I can see pics on the other articles I see no reason why it should be any different on that one, surely they are written the same? I can't be the only DG member who uses AOL. Thanks for the suggestions, I don't really want to start using IE, it won't have the spyware protection AOLhas.

Thanks claypa, the article has gone now anyway and I thought it said Victor provided the pic. I just went to enlarge the pic and saw your edit, lol, funny thing is your writing is there but no pic when enlarged but I can see the thumbnail! Does that give anyone a clue?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

Sorry folks - just got in from an evening with the grandbabe. Thanks claypa :)

One word: AOL
Sorry, couldn't resist.
How about using Mozilla's Firefox browser and AVG protection?

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

It could be AOL, but I haven't had problems anywhere else. I did also see the first two pics when the article was started, and again last Saturday after Dea reported this, so what has changed in the meantime?

I think Firefox can have it's own problems, lol, and as this is the only problem I have I would rather stay with what I know is reasonably safe.

Hope you can see this week's photo now wallaby1
