Welcome jsx! Feel free to pop in any time with more pretty scenes like your pic, very nice. Would love to hear more about it.
Hey, I didn't know this forum existed!
Welcome!
Hey, I'm Jax- but not really- Jax is a kitten, I'm Melissa, his Valet.
Hahahahahaha Hi Melissa........................
Hi Mark!
Hi Melissa!
Hi Candyce................... how you doing?????????????????
Hi John Boy!!!!
Hi Mary ellen!!
How'd you know I'm into women's clothes, Mark??!
Mark - lovely photo......so glad you have joined us!!
Welcome Melissa! You'll find that many of us are valets to our furry friends as well!! Birds of a feather and all of that! What a lovely place you have there!! Do post more photos! We are all happy voyeurs of each others' gardens and pretty places!!
Sarah and Candyce and Patti and anyone who lives within driving distance of Keene.........Yes! an RV, as Sarah said! I am so ready for that!
Burdick's, Patti.......oh, yummm! I know Candyce likes chocolate too! Wow, having a car drive through your house would be an annoyance alright......but those older houses are hard to do in!
I wish ours were being torn apart for fun stuff, but this is just for stability.....I guess that counts too!! LOL
Oh Victor you shouldn't say things like that on here...........LOL
Donnie
Thank you................... pleased you like the photo........... thank you for the welcome.
I can't wait for this snow to go away.
I think I've had enough. Heck! I had enough of it on December 26th!!
It was so much fun to start seeing the little babies come up out of the soil in the places where the snow had melted. Now, they're under snow again.
I can't wait to get all of us gals together for a mini RU, too! If I start now, I can have my house cleaned up by early May. What do you say, gals? Oh - Louise - when are you arriving? We'll make plans for the weekend after you arrive, as long as that's not Michaela's weekend (May 10th).
Be nice to yourself, Candyce......we can all meet in Keene and you won't even have to clean!!! LOL I won't be there until after Michaela's gathering....We will make some stops along the way back. I'll try to pin my DH down as to our arrival time.
Mark - Victor wouldn't be Victor if he wasn't completely out of hand most of the time!! That's what landed him in prison. He even perks up the cell block! LOL
It's not "gals" it's "Hot Mamas".
Abso-posi-lutely!
Welocme Jax Tiger!
Hi Jax Melissa!
Harper
Hi Jax Melissa.... welcome....
Hi everyone!!!!!good night everyone!!!!!
Hi Jax! Welcome to the Northeast and very glad to have you with us!! Eleanor
you know- monadnock vacinity people...near to Burdicks is another terrific nursery- has anyone been to the Inspired Gardener- in Westmoreland? Its a beautifully tended small (very small) nursery for mostly unusual shrubs and trees- some perennials, but mostly woodies- each plant is carefully placed on raked gravel- its almost like a Japanese garden! anyway, another great place to add to the list. sarah
Oh Sarah!
It sounds wonderful. And I've never been there. It must be so peaceful.
I was just kidding about my messy house. We can all meet up here for fresh coffee and a snack before we start out to other places.
sjms, I go to Westmoreland all the time, and don't even know about this place. Can't wait. Patti
Stewart & John's Pancake House, I know it well, plus there is a great used bookstore at that intersection. That is a great picture. Patti
Patti- next time you are in that area look carefully on the opposite side of rt 12 from the pancake place for Wentworth rd- you go up that under the old railroad tressle- and there is a small sign for "The Inspired Gardner" on the left. It's only open Wed-Sat, I think- and it's run by Mark Hudson- who knows all about shrubs, and is so friendly. He does landscaping in Walpole, and sells shrubs too. I keep worrying he'll close, and I so hope he doesn't!!
sjms, I am a shrub-o-holic. Thanks so much. One of my best buddies lives in Westmoreland across from the store in the house with the attached barn, so I am there often. Patti
I like your shot sj!
oh I looovee crocus!!!! I will never forgot the first time I saw one more than 20 years ago... they are an inspiration to me... really make me think of the many "winters in life " I have survived!
yes- crocuses are a boost to the spirit- This is tomasianus rosea? something like that- a pink tommy- they are usually more purpley- They are a gauranteed naturalizer, I find- increase every year, and grow right in the grass with no problem. By the time DH mows, they are pretty much gone by. But really, we need this snow to go!!
Sarah - I know just where that road is, and that would be great fun to check it out. I love that used bookstore, Patti!
DH is a used book nut.. he says its a good one- me..i go straight for the nursery!
we need spring to just come... tired of the glooooommminneess!!!!!
Yes, Kassia, but the good weather is just around the corner! Enjoy the warm temps today!
Books and plants! Add puppies and kittens and you have my idea of heaven! (or retirement in my case!) LOL (but you have to add a cappuchino machine to complete the picture!! LOL
Burdicks nearby has a cappuccino machine, and lots of chocolate!!
I smell a road trip coming on ... or is it a fever? Hard to tell, isn't it?
Oh My! Our sniffers are smelling the same thing, Candyce!! Sarah, throwing that chocolate into the mix got Candyce on board.......Hmmmmm......I can't think of many of us who wouldn't like this little outing!!! Used books/good nursery/exceptionally good chocolate/cappuchino/getting together with DG pals......."We'll have a table for 40 please!" LOL
Just a small, intimate, gathering ...
We could start with breakfast, then plants, then books, then chocolate then more plants.
