Hey, I didn't know this forum existed!

Keene, NH(Zone 5a)

Well, I'll be- folks from my own back yard practically- I hope there's room for one more- Look forward to chiming in- here's a not so great shot of the first crocuses here -even an ant on one of the petals, so spring has to have sprung- Had heavy coat and scarf on, but still... See you all around, Sarah

Keene, NH(Zone 5a)

thanks for the welcome!! It seems like a rather chatty forum... is it possible northeasterners have a lot to say?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - very chatty. About gardening and just about anything else we're allowed to discuss! How big is your garden? Please post photos of it when you get the chance. What do you like to grow? Do you still have snow?

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Hey all...................

We are getting snow over here in the UK................. I wish spring would arrive, forgot what the sunshine feels like!!!

Keene, NH(Zone 5a)

hello all!- I'd say my yard is still about 3/4 covered in snow- the shadier colder spots will take quite a while to thaw.... but there are signs of things happening... we'll still get more snow before its all over, I'm sure!

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Welcome Sarah - glad to have you with us! Eleanor

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Welcome to the NE forum Sarah. We would love to hear your plans for your garden this year.

Mr C your daffs look positively disgusted with their new coat of snow. Hope it melts quickly.

For people up north I hope it melts at a steady slower rate but gets gone soon cause it is finally getting more like spring. :)

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Yes they were positively disgusted............. but, they will get over it....

This weather is holding up our garden project, can't get out there and dig!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are taking up most of the lawn to make the borders a little larger!!

Mark

Hi Sarha, I know how you feel with snow in your yard. Welcome aboard. Mr Croco- your plants look sad as they are hanging their heads.

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Thank you................ yes they are veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy sad, but warmer weather is on the way so that should perk them up a little!!!

Its my crocosmia that i am more worried about.......

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Welcome Sarah.

Hello there, Mr. Crocosmia.

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Hello there Polly........................ How are you......???

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Good, thank you.

Waiting patiently here for the snow and ice to melt.

Is that snow a rarity for you? It does look fluffy and lovely.

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Glad you came aboard the NE Express, Sarah!

Mr. C - what amount of snow do you normally get there?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hi Mark,

What's going on there?!! I've been enjoying many Brit spring photos for weeks now on the Photos forum. Hope things change back quickly.

Victor

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Its not at all a rarity.................. although the last few years we haven't had as much as say 15 years ago. Maybe due to global warming.
Usually we get snow in Feb and March............. normally around 6 inches or so.

I too am waiting for the snow to melt..............

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Hi Victor

Nothing much going on here apart from snow, ice, hail, rain and sleet and freezing cold temps.....................
The people with the spring photos must live down south of the country where they don't get the snow etc (well not much).
I hope it changes quickly too.

Mark

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Good luck!

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)
