Did you soak the seeds before you planted them? Or did you just broadcast them on top of the soil?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

looking good sue!

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Candyce, I didn't soak them. Put in 1/2" down, covered tray with extra-large baggie, and put in cool basement until they sprouted.

I had to put a big sign on my computer to remember to check them each day!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Thanks!
That's one we're going to plant today.
Oohhhhh! I have Spring fever so bad!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

well good news is some of the wandering jew & sweet potatoes have roots.... bad news is i came home from work and the plastic test tubes leaked out just enough water to leave the bottom of some of the cuttings.... i lost about 1/4 of what was in the test tubes

:(

I stuck the remaining living ones in starting mix... and pray for the best..... i can't seem to understand why the plastic broke down and sprung leaks... you would think they hold our blood and things like that... either way i am exhausted and will talk to you fine people later

Southern Dutchess Co, NY(Zone 5b)

Oh, no! So sorry to hear this. I'll keep my fingers crossed that things work out. I won't tell you about some of my trials and tribulations with vials of blood and contamination! - Lynn

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Lynn now that story doesn't sound good at all

but thanks for the well wishes

Kershaw, SC(Zone 8b)

I usually don't grow things from seed, I'd rather someone else did the work...but, here are some of my neonatalplantals...

These are the black holly hock...Alcea 'Niagra' I believe that is the name.
