Nice pics Gourd!!
Daily Pictures, Volume 81
Thank you boojum, there is a bird refuge about 200 miles north of us, about 1 hour before you get to Albuquerque, do you think that they are heading there?
You guys take some very good closeups..
They certainly could be since probably everything they need is there.
Thank you pelletory,
I hope we can make a day trip there, I believe it is called Bosque Del Apache Refuge..
those Pileated look beautiful, I don't guess they come around here huh.. I'm right near the border of El Paso, TX... and Mexico...
Heres the Pileateds range map.

Those other birds might just be making a stop over at the sanctuary but it would still be a nice trip. I'm sure you would see quite a variety of birds.
Has anyone ever seen an Ivory Billed?
I haven't heard of anyone hear who has. Very few have anyway.
Heres a page on them.

Has anyone ever seen an Ivory Billed?
Not in the last 50 years or so. The recent claims have all been debunked.

Still have hope there may be some out there..though if there are it won't be for long, as they require such a large habitat area per bird.
Nice catch adel!!
It great to see the excitement going on here. Nanny that Pileated will surely come back, and I expect to see pictures. Have that camera on standby, because the Bohemian Waxwings came back today, and I didn't expect them, to show up 2 days in a row. What a thrill!!
You guys are making me miss the Pileated, that use to come here. He only came for one season, he was some neat bird to watch at the suet.
Adel, don't know, how you manage to take, so many fun shots of your birds. Those Jays are something else!!!
Very, very nice Linth.
I don't know if we have any in our area or not. Have to check the map.
LINTH!!! SHOW OFF! ;-)
I remember that series!!
Great pics everyone!
Nice pic jo; we had a few flurrries yesterday but that was all.
Somehow missed these pics earlier . . .
I got two today..I have no clue as to what they are, sometimes there are white ones in there ... Here they are flying to another spot
Those birds look like glossy ibises only the map does not show them anywhere's near NM
From the pics, they could be either Glossy Ibis or White-faced Ibis; not enough detail visible to distinguish them in these pics (they are very similar); however, on range, they have to be White-faced, which does occur in NM, while Glossy doesn't.
The white ones sometimes in with them - likely to be egrets, with Cattle Egret as the most likely but Snowy Egret and Great Egret are also possible.

LOL Rose! You are so funny and sweet. ((((((hugs)))))))
Better get some squirrel baffles or that bunny will eat all the seeds!! Hoppy Easter!
There are so many great pictures I can't comment on each one. I wish I could check this thread every hour or so to have a real conversation about the images. Just keep posting.
Congrats on the Pileateds! Those I have in abundance. I recommend a peanut silo as an attractant. The day after I put that out, our backyard became a daily stopover. Remember, position it in a way to allow for them to keep their tail feathers supported. They aren't clingers.
This female can be counted upon to show up in places no self-respecting PWoodie would be. She must have been orphaned and had to find her own way in life.
Love that pic Sybil..and thanks for the hint about where to position the peanut feeder. I think I will move mine and hope to lure the Pileated back.
Glad you liked the bunny and GF Mrs. Ed and Boojum, the GF were very skeptical and took about an hour before they would approach that feeder!!
I was happy to get a few shots of the Bluebirds this morning and will share them now. I just love these little birds!!
Here is the Male Eastern Bluebird.
That is a sweet pic Rose! Happy Esater w/ (((hugs)))!
Love the Bluebird shots!
GP, Nice pics! Is this the latest your Hummers have stayed?
Cute bunny, and the others are great, rose!
Harpo Marx is who popped in my head!
Very Nice GG!
I think you hit it Nanny, I think harpo is who I was thinking of.
