Anybody know for sure what this little shorebird is? I thought it was a willet; but the beak seems a lot longer than that.

Yep. Note the white eyebrow with a yellow spot at the front end on both of them.

Maybe still a little dizzy from the flight shots adel? :-) They can be dangerous to one when trying to follow birds especially the fast ones.

this bird struck me as being lanky, it is a little crouched down to get a drink in this photo

It looks like a Female Red-winged Blackbird to me.

Angele..it gets very confusing sometimes...it's just hard to tell them apart sometimes. I have a real problem with Song Sparrows!!

Hah, you should see me with the female house finches. "boy, that one looks a lot lighter, is there any yellow on it? could it be a siskin? I'm sure it must be different."

I think this is a lousy pic of a Pine Warbler! (I KNOW it's a lousy pic but not sure it's a Pine Warbler) LOL!
