Well, it can be, but we usually have a key. :)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hide the key from me! I'm weak, weak, weak I tell ya!

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Now, now, now, that wouldn't be any fun. :)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Good Grief Intercessor!! What are you trying to do to me?????
I am familiar with most of them, especially Buggy Crazy & Ramona's lilies. I really don't NEED anymore...this year. My DGD is great with bulb digging, she will be very busy this spring!!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

she is sooooooooo sweet

Ripon, WI(Zone 4a)

Andrew, are you accurate with a sling shot (not easy) or do you just want to scare them away? :) Only one time was I really accurate with one. When I was pretty little and my Mom was bent over working in the garden.....you can figure out the rest of the story. And I was never allowed to have one again!

edited for spelling

How funny!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

OOoooo wrist rockets are fun! I usually wear out the straps by the end of the season.

Saint Bonifacius, MN(Zone 4a)

When you grow up in an oak forested area, and have plenty of acorn ammo, you get a lot of practice and accuracy comes naturally. Although a bought one with an arm brace sure makes it easy.

Goldfinch, were you really that accurate, or did you just have a big target? (You don't have to answer that.)

Ripon, WI(Zone 4a)

I think I just got lucky!

Fox River Valley Are, WI(Zone 5a)

I only shot a couple times, once at a bunny and I missed. I have to be a good shot since one neighbor is only 10-15 feet away. Last year I could walk within a couple feet of some of the rabbits, not vary fearful. Moby how is your shot?

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

LOL Not too bad ~ the less I aim the better I do. Enough to scare them into running away. The trajectory with acorns is a bit erratic, but fun and plentiful. :)

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

I gave in and ordered Silk Road too the other day....ah, well

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I been tempted by Silk Road for over a month now, im still holding my ground though.

Me, too.

Fox River Valley Are, WI(Zone 5a)

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Yes, it will set you free!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I've already felt the 'force' didn't you notice in Post #4690223?

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

thank you, great link

OK, I caved in and placed a second order with B&D, an order with Lily Garden, and some from WFF - Lily Garden has some cool Asiatics and OT's I could not resist- sent the check out today with my order form via snail mail (ugh)! Ordered 9 Silk Roads and about 70 bulbs in total.I wanted to order from Faraway Flowers but their spring shipping schedule is too late for a hot climate like mine so I'll wait till fall.

Fox River Valley Are, WI(Zone 5a)

Steve what is WFF? I guess Judith @ TLG is one of the last holdouts for being a true mail-order ;*) Not sure why she would go that route, seems having an order website would be more efficient.

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

HI Intercessor,

I got 6 Silk Roads from White Flower Farm....their rating is not the greatest but I have had nothing but good results from their bulbs and plants. They are a little pricey though.

I resist Lily Garden because I really have issues with their lack of an online store LOL - I know some here think I need to get over it....but they do just have some of the coolest stuff so I printed out the form and filled it out and mailed it. And, I am sure White Flower Farm and Park get their Silk Roads from LG since Judith developed that one. When I went to LG I saw that Silk Road was on sale so I got three more along with a bunch of others! I have had SUCH good luck with that lily and it is really a strong performer, proven for me.

Fox River Valley Are, WI(Zone 5a)

Its seemed to do pretty good here last year. Reproduced like crazy, waiting to see if it survived our wet, cold, thick mid-west clay.
I didn't use to like the 1c(recurved,down) asiatics, but I found my self intrigued by them this year. If they are tall enough 4-5 feet I think I will enjoy them. I ordered some of the North hybrids and some of Judith's. I like the fact that they have some scent. I also like Vivas color and scent, but more importantly my wife said she really liked the color of Viva. That lily made like 16 bulblets from one small bulb!

See, that's what I'm talking about!! Do you feel how happy he is??!!

Boy I wish I could afford 9 of those puppies!

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

I was trying to be restrained and frugal this year, but after getting trapped by this thread I realize it's all your faults! LOL
