Ped Egg

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm sure you've all seen the advertisment by now for the pedegg. It is for removing dry skin from your heals.
WELL, BEWARE!!!!
Once you are connected you will be bombarded with them trying to sell you an outrageous amount of extras. You will automatically be sold the extra egg for no charge except the extra shipping. The call will go on and on and on and you can keep saying no thank you to the recording until you finally just flip out and hang up. STOP!! Don't hang up because you have already paid for the one egg plus the extra egg for no extra charge except shipping which is an extra $6.99.
Well, then I went on line and tried to do it that way. BIG MISTAKE! Now I am being sold the one egg plus the extra for no extra charge + shping again. I called the customer service line and finally got a human on the phone after waiting for 35 minutes and explained to the person, who I could hardly understand due to the accent' Please don't take offense anyone out there, I am not prejudice I just have difficulty understanding folks that speak too fast and with an accent other then my own. My problem.
Well, she reassured me that the situation was completely taken care of and I would only be billed for the one ped egg that I requested.
Yesterday I found a charge on my statement for four additional pedeggs totalling
$47.86. PLUS the charge for the one pedegg that I wanted for just $16.99
I was fuming by this point and called the customer service line again and waited 28 minutes this time. I started to speak with the rep and I aplogized for being so upset and that I was not angry with her, YET, and asked to speak with her supervisor. She said, Mame, calm down. A supervisor isn't going to be able to tell you anything more then I can so you might as well speak with Me.
WHEW! Now I am really flipping out. I said, GET ME A SUPERVISOR NOW!
I got one, and I went through the whole explination with her and she has reasured me the the charges will be removed and my account credited with in the next 7 days. WHAT? Why do I have to wait 7 days for you to fix what should never have happeded to begin with. Well, I have to make out a report and send it to head office and they have to revue it and then send a fax to the accounting office to have them credit my account.
Well, that was yesterday and I guess I just have to wait to see what happens next. I was going to write about this yesterday but I seem to have aquired a massive migraine. HUM, I wonder why.
BOYCOT PEDEGG!!!!!
I hope I haven't step out of bounds by telling you all this I just wanted to forwarn you what to expect.

Isn't it just the pits. I will never do that again.

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

I bought one at Target. No shipping, etc. Same price.

I actually got a little wand type foot smoother at Dollar Tree. These things are also sold on QVC for $$. Mine's smaller than theirs, but the grate pops off to dispose of dead skin.

GrannyLois, maybe you can tell us if you are happy with it? does it work as claimed?

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

GrannyLois, I thought you could only get them on tv. Boy did I get suckered in. How do you like it? Mine hasn't arrived yet. Was it worth all the agrivation I went through?

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

I've used it just a little so far. I didn't have as much hard, dead skin on my feet as I thought. It worked well, though.

When my daughter comes to visit, it'll get a workout ..... Her feet have lots of thick skin because of years of going barefoot in college. (She thinks that's the reason - I have no idea.)

One thing I've learned not to do is order magazine subscriptions with a credit card. They automatically renew it on your credit card without your knowledge. I kept wondering why Country Living was still coming forever and ever ....

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

Ahhhhh..... that explains alot. Thank you for the info on mag subscriptions. Whew! Can they do that legally? I mean, isn't that like fraud or stealling?

I usually find all those items that are offered on TV at the Bed and Bath store or the Rite Aide drug store and pick them up there where I can actually see the item before I buy it. I hadn't thought about saving on the shipping or the push to buy more than you want on the TV offers!

It is funny, I didn't get callous or dead skin buildup on my feet when I went barefoot all the time. But after foot surgery and wearing shoes all the time it has become a constant personal maintenance problem. I don't know if it is from wearing shoes og from age.

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

Can't win, can we, Zany?

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Win? I'd be happy to just break even for a few years! But I have come to like the look of wrinkles and age spots. I have been refering to them as landscapes and decorations.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

ROTFLOL that is great. I will have to remember that each time I look in the mirror.

Onetime 30 years ago I went to a Bluegrass music festival in Wise,Va.
The site had previously been strip mined before and it was REALLY MUDDY. (Like over your foot muddy.)
I had to remove my sandals to walk. We were camping and had no place to wash our feet. When the mud dried and came off all my tough skin and calouses were gone. They were like they had been when I was 10 years old. I had to re-toughen my feet.

Well now, I wont be ordering it now LOL.
I saw one somewhere maybe at walgreens.
I ordered Proactiv and had the same problem as you, couldnt understand because the chick was talking too fast then ended up being subscribed to three magazines, lol.
They said it was free, but I have a feeling well get a bill. Ugh.

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

Zany, I have learned to celebrate my age, too.

I feel like I'm the only one who more or less brags about turning 60 this year ... and I'm going to celebrate in style, too!

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

GrannyLois, I felt that way when I turned 55 last year. Double nickles Yeah! 56 this year doesn't sound exciting so the next real marker will be 60 for me too. I already warned Bob he'd better start saving money now because the 60th is one that is going to be the celebration of my lifetime!

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

Jan, a letter documenting the charges and conversation sent to your State Attorney General's Office might help. Or at least tell the person on the other end of the phone that you have contacted said Office. Our AG's Office has a Consumer Protection division, don't know about Oregon. They do help when dealing with these shysters.

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

Sounds great, Zany!

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, I got the one ped egg that I ordered today. Have to say, it works great. I am still waiting for the credit on my acct. If its not on there by the end of the week, I'm afraid all h__l is going to break loose.

Crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

K, now i wanna buy one again. LOL

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

I received the credit for the other two that I didn't order. Boy, are they lucky they took care of that. I can be mean and nastry when someone gets my dander up. HEhehehe

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

Glad to hear it worked out Gourd ...

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

I thought about ordering that ped egg. Looks like it would be neat to have it, I have that problem with the heal of my foot .

I've often heard if you buy something off the tv that they will automatically put you on a monthly charge of something or another, and you'll almost always be charged with extra things even if you ask for no other charges . I have often instead of buying that one item from the tv, I'll go on line to their web site, and order it from that web site.

EVer heard of the Bender ball? they had it on the tv for a while, and everybody that ordered just the ball, for I thilnk under l0.00 got charged a monthly fee service fee, and all were ticked off about it, but it was in little tiny letters at the bottom of the screen, almost unlegible, that you'd be charged this fee.

I got the phone number off the web site and ordered that bender ball for 6.99 and 4.99 shipping, and asked abuot those other fees. she said that it was strictly for the tv promotion, thing, and that was the only way one would be charged that monthly fee, is if they bought off the tv. I never got charged for any other fee for that ball. I don't buy anything off the tv. There is always a scam to sell you more than what you asked for, and always a sneaky way for them to get the charge put on your account and takes you months to get it off your account.

There are soo many things on tv that look great, and I want to buy, have been good at restraining myself so far LOL

Just had to have that bender ball, and it kills my back to use it. I can't even use it now. They made it out to be unique, and really a neat product. Ha!!

I almost got on ebay and bought one of those ped eggs , buthaven't yet.

Lilesville, NC(Zone 7b)

Lilesville, NC(Zone 7b)

Kathy,

Yes i love mine..i "misplaced" it for like 2 weeks was going crazy and was gonna buy another...however just like 2 days ago i found it and was excited....and then when i got mine from ebay they sent me a lil tube of Miracle Foot Repair http://www.seenontvproducts.net/miraclefootrepair/index.html and oh my word this with the ped egg is just heaven. You will not be disappointed however the cream you can buy off of ebay for way cheaper.

Paris, TX(Zone 8a)

We got one from Walmart. I haven't used it yet, because my feet usually don't get bad, until summer, and I start wearing sandles, or going barefoot. Then, the poor thing will get a workout.

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

what part of the store is it in, i'm goin g to have to check my walmart tomorrow when I go to town.

Paris, TX(Zone 8a)

Our Walmart has a section, close to the checkout area, where you can find lots of those "as seen on TV" products.

Yucca Valley, CA(Zone 9a)

You can get the ped egg at Walgreens also...we paid $9.99 for ours and it seems to work pretty well.
