What do DG-ers do for fun?

Other than gardening and cruising DG, of course. When you have free time and you're not in the garden, what are your favorite things? Mine are: Reading, quilting, Pilates (to stay in shape for digging), watching college basketball (go Vols and Lady Vols!!) and singing. How about you? Ellen

Hypertufa/cement, woodworking, baking, motorcycle riding and hanging out with DH!

OMG, be easier to say what I don't do...if it's a craft - I do it, I teach decorative painting, I sew, quilt, embroider, cross stitch,smocking, woodworking (fanatic for tools - have more than most men) lol, gardening..probably the only thing I cannot add is 'cooking' to my list of achievements..

Water color painting, tai chi, chi gung, walking, going to movies, spending time with friends and family, and of course, D.G. and gardening. Also like camping and hiking, although I don't get out as much as I'd like.

i read a lot, and i see as much live theatre as i can. Concerts too, but New Haven is a wasteland for the kind of music i like.

And i wish i lived in Knoxville!

I'm with you Betty! My DH finally realized that I don't care for flowers and chocolate for Valentines Day...this year I got a bandsaw! Woooohoooo! I'm making my son a bunch of little cars now.I love to refinish and repurpose old furniture, and am starting to build a little too. I built my daughter a loft bed for Christmas and my son a toddler bed. I just love the way wood falls together to make something.
I also take kickboxing, which is ok, I think I will get back into TaeKwonDo though, I enjoy the workouts more I think. Anyway, theres tons of other stuff, basically anything shiny that catches my eye LOL, but with a toddler my hobbies don't get as much time as they used to! :~)

Wartching movies is the big passtime in our house. Hubby and I like to go driving to a local bird refuge several times a year. We also like to go shopping, (Yes, he likes it, too.☺ He'll even suggest it.) cruising antique shops, martial arts, going to the air museum, and vacationing on the beach in Oregon. DH has also discovered the joys of sturgeon fishing.

Steve and I do about everything together and we love it. Hiking in the woods, fishing on the pond and creek, sitting by the firepit talking and having some wine. Playing with the grandbabies when we get a chance to see them. Taking exotic vacations when the $ is available. Thinking up projects and going to Lowes (the only place I like to shop). Spending time together working on our woodwork projects, or reading or crocheting or doing webpage projects. Wow, we really do have some other interests LOL!
