New thread, we came from here,

A cock Pheasant yesterday jumped across the drain from my garden, it must have been sheltering from the strong winds.

Pheasants vary a lot, this one is very colourful and I hope he stays that way! He has 3 ladies to care for, lol.

The E. Meadowlark is very colourful dellrose! Nice pics.

Here's the Pheasant just after I spotted him going towards the drain, looking down at the water. A quick snap.

For Tabasco, answer to a question a few threads back. No I haven't had any bluebirds at my blue bowls. I have had Cardinals, chickadees and titmice. And today, a mockingbird.

Wallaby-- what a great photo to lead off the thread! Beautiful!

And the Eastern Meadowlark is a beauty. I'll have to look those up on Cornell and see why they don't visit us over here!?

And the American robins are making their way north, aren't they. We had a big flock in the yard looking for worms today! Signs of spring are always welcome!

Dacula, GA(Zone 7b)

Love that meadowlark Rose. Wish I could see one here, but I need to go to a park. Too many trees around my house. Here's a crow flying in the pines.

LOL beclu thanks for the blue bowl following up. I've had titmice and cardinals at my blue bowl too. Even the 25 chicadees in the back haven't taken a sip from it. No mockingbirds at all have been in our yard this winter. We miss them!

I'm still hopeful for the blue birds, though. I feel lucky this spring!

A new one for me. Chipping Sparrow (I think).

Love that Great Tit Wallaby...I really appreciate the birds you show on the other side of the pond!

My first BIF (birds in flight)! I was sitting in the back yard and they just happened to fly by. Hope I can get closer some day!

They are very good dellrose! Does this mean you don't have snow if you were sitting in your back yard, lol.

The nest is a beautiful construction of twigs and spanish moss. Only the best for their babies. Mama was keeping a close eye on me.

Thanks for starting the new thread Wallaby!

Great photos everyone!

Rose, those in flights pics are beauties!! Sounds like you're having good weather today too.

I spent most of the day outside and spotted a NEW bird that Resin verified as a Pine Warbler, I was so excited :-) Here are a couple pics of it.

It seemed to really like the homemade suet, here it is in the caged suet feeder

Yesterday, I had a male Pileated visit the feeder. It seemed like his first time, he was afraid to get on the feeder and kept trying to reach it from the pole! The female needs to give him a few more lessons, LOL, she was watching him from the tree and I think I heard her laughing ;-)

This morning, after thinking about the poor Pileated who didn't get a snack yesterday, I put an old suet feeder on the nail that was already in my post. Had lots of visitors and one of the Pileateds came back while I was inside, I couldn't tell if it was the male or female and didn't get a pic.

This Titmouse sure enjoyed it and returned again and again...

Thanks Angele and Sadie...yes we have been having spring like weather here but that will come to a halt sometime tonight. :0(

Sadie..congrats again on your Pine Warbler...such a cute little bird and I have yet to see one! Love your other pics too especially the
Pileated.

Angele, that little Verdin is just so cute!

The Bluebirds were back again today, this time checking out a different nest box. I hope they choose one of them.

Here is the Female.

We took a drive to Bennett Springs State Park (great trout fishing BTW) and saw this little Tufted Titmouse at the bird feeder.

Those are really beautiful Bluebird pics!
I saw some here today but they stayed on the edge of the field, perched on the fence post and moved farther away every time I tried to get within photo distance.
