Pelle asked me to start number 70 and I could not decide which recent pic to use so I decided to do a collage. I don't know if we can surpass the wonderful shots of the last thread, but I'm sure we'll all do our best.
Daily Pics Vol 70
Well that is really neat!
Thanks for starting the new thread GP!
Pelle :-)
Thanks for the opportunity to start the thread Pelletory. Burn, love those Bohemian Waxwings....I think the Cedar Waxwings we had here have headed back North already, and I never got a chance for a decent pic of them this winter.
Thanks for starting the new thread GP...love the collage.
Burn...I am green with envy!! To respond to your question on the last thread...no we don't have any fruit trees. We did have a cherry tree and the birds used to eat those but I wasn't a birder and didn't even look to see who was doing the eating. (geez, do I have a lot to make up for)! We have Red Cedar (Juniper) that have those blue-berries on them and the Waxwings are supposed to eat those. I've only seen one since I've been watching and it landed on my patio fence, looked around and flew off! That was exciting so I can't imagine seeing what you have seen...I'm sure I would faint from excitement!!
Here is the Red Whiskered Bulbul I caught before I left for tour two weeks back. It was taken from the window of my room and it was sitting on the mussaenda branch just about 15 feet away. I was drawn to its familiar call and I was ready. Satisfied with a partly hidden bird. Too many branches in the way!
I love that shot Dinu. What a beautiful bird!
Oh wow great shots guys!!
burn, I love the Bohemian Waxwings! Lucky you!!
Dinu, What an absolutely cool looking bird! Thanks so much for posting it!
Very neat adel! I would love to see one of those.
Thanks GP, Rose and Pelle.
Dinu lovely pic of Red whiskered Bulbul, don't recall ever seeing one on this forum since I joined here.
Wow gardenpom! I'm really impressed with your creativity and originality!! Bravo
Pelletory, I don't know what kind of photography equipment you use, but that shot of the woodpecker is fantastic.

I've been noticing it for the past few months now and seems to be a regular visitor to our area and my garden. I can identify its call and also the Great Tit's which I posted recently. This too is a regular. Haven't seen them before the camera came to my hand!! Or that we have become sharper with that tool in hand??
Dinu
Very nice pics nanny!! Love that last one!
Thanks very much GG! I was surprised they turned out at all with no sun,

Thanks lilyfantn, those are easily made using the free Picasa program. Pelle told me about it. It is really the only thing I use Picasa for, but it does make nice collages.
I love your collage too GP! What a beautiful collection of bird photos. Wonderful idea!
Gorgeous Waxwing burn, that bird is on my short-list of birds I really want to see in person.
dinu, that is a very pretty Bulbul.
Adel, we have Great Blues around here but boy do they ever take off as soon as they see me. Wish I could get a shot like yours!
Nanny, there is nothing like your bright red Cardinals around here. They are so very beautiful!
Thanks Pelletory.
That Bulbul is wonderful. I never heard of them and now I got to see one.
Wonderful experience.
GG
Angele..............these Heron are pretty spooky but there are enough of them in the area that I get lucky once in awhile. The 300 lens helps a lot.
After reading all the comments about Pelle's photos I had to go and look at one thread back to see. (these threads go by so fast... bravo everybody!) All I can say is WOW!! Your new camera and lens takes fabulous photos Pelle! You can see every feather. I especially like the female cardinal.
Dinu, its so interesting to see the exotic bird photos you have been posting too.
And trois... I absolutely LOVED the shot of the blue jay taking the peanut AND the whiskers from that man. That is a sure sign of spring. I guess its time to start spreading around my cat's hair.
Very nice pics everyone!
Thanks Lily!
Oh wow how cool gardner!!
Great pics today everyone.
Dinu..love your RW Bulbul...never knew they existed! So glad you posted those pics.
Adel...You must be a bird magnet...I've never seen two of those GB Heron's together.
Nanny...Very nice pics...love those Cards especially!
Burn...Don't you just love those Dee's...such a sweet bird. I always hear them before I see them.
Gardner...Wow!!! What a surprise that would be!
Thanks for brightening my day everyone...it is so dreary, icy and cold here and I swear the birds are swarming!!
Rose
Oh thats very neat Marilyn!!!
Thanks for posting it!
