Walls to ceiling

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

OK I have a running debate around here about how I would like to do the walls and ceiling of a part of the house. The room in question is 20 foot by 30 foot. From the front door to probably 12 foot (as most murals are 12 foot in length) I am tending toward a wall mural of an out door scene. The only garden scenes I can find appear to be what they are and that of being a mural and not a distance shot of an actual garden. I will be covering 3 walls and the ceiling.

So here are a few of the combinations that I have looked at.

This one for the walls that can be used on all three walls without appearing to be to repetitious

I think this one for the door.

The only thing I can use on the ceiling would be sky.

Now the sky would work well with this wall mural.

Now I liked this wall mural but it would become repetitious unless I can find something to work with it on two of the other walls.

And so other forms of ceiling work.

and another ceiling.

and one more ceiling

And then there is this wall mural that has a real openness that would work well with the overhead vines on the ceiling.

Gorgeous pics, snipe. I don't know how you will choose! Just to show you how the Renaissance Italians used to do it, I'm attaching a pic of a frescoed ceiling at the Villa Cicogna Mozzoni.

Thanks June I first suggested a fresco ceiling, wasn't pretty. There is another company that will take pictures and turn them into wall paper murals and I gave thought to the Dallas arboretum. Its just kind of hard to come up with a direction to go in when everyone around here is so conventional. :)

First and second ceiling are IMO the best.
The 1st and 2nd mural are my favs as well. lol
That red is my livingroom colour, lol.

I like the raised tin type which is right below the red ceiling paper.

The wall murals I was wanting to give the room a feeling of expanse but to get 3 walls that are nearly the same is nearly impossible. I am still leaning towards going to the Dallas Arboretum this spring and taking pics and having them made into a continuous wall scape.

The intent is to have that room done in such a fashion that with a stone floor and out door furniture it can be my out door sitting room year round hot or cold. :)

ohhhh that is a really good idea. make sure you post pictures as you go, this is interesting.
