How about a Canadian trade forum?

Drumheller, AB(Zone 3a)

I have had great success trading with our US garden friends, but sometimes I find I have been setting up a plant trade and the reciever is away out of my zone. It would save loads of time if a Canadian seed and plant trade forum got up and running (or it was a "must" that your zone or city was part of your post.

I was trying to drum up some interest in something simalar. I'm pretty new here and the SASE's I have done have all but one, been American. They turned out fine yet I hesitate to do live plant trades out of the country. I would hate to have the babies die while awaiting customs to decide if they are going to work on any given day :)

i have received plants from the US and they arrived in great shape, but then they weren't held up at customs. It is a lot easier to send and receive packages from US today than it was 10 years ago. When checking out plants for a trade try http://www.google.com there is a lot of information to be found there. Not only pictures of the plants but information on them ie:hardiness zone. Dave lives in the States and is good enough to share this site with us so maybe we should be thankful for what we have. Maybe a Canadian should set up a seed trading forum, there must be many hours of work involved, who would take on a project of that size. My hat is off to Dave for the dedication involved in this site.
