This little duck was at Bass Pro Shop and at first I thought it was plastic. It was very cute but don't know what it is.
Thank You,
Rose
CLOSED: Identify This Bird Please - Vol. 5
Dellrose, the first one is a Ruddy Duck, the 2nd. shot is of two Wood Ducks.
Gary
Thank you Gary, I hope to see them someday in their natural habitat.
Rose
You're right, that's an immature Bald Eagle.
Whether it is the same bird as was reported, or a different one, hard to know!
Resin
Thanks, Resin.
Song Sparrow ?
Fox Sparrow ?
I think these are Snow Bunting, am I right?
Yes to all three
Resin
Thanks Resin!
Thank you Resin, glad I was able to take a picture of them. They are so fast. I would have like to see them closer.
Yep, American Goldfinch
Resin
Hi Lily, I'd say at least 50 ft. apart.
Thank you, Pelle, will do.
Hi Lily, The bottom one looks like a White -breasted Nuthatch; can't see the other.
Thank you, Pelle, Please be patient with me. I'm in search of a better camera, hopefully I'll be able to post better pics. soon in the near future. :-)
The two birds were identical as I observed them. They were peacefully sharing the food, no fighting noticed. Cute 'lil ones. They're both about the same size. Slightly bigger than that of finches. :-)
I'm sorry ; I see the top one now. Yes their both White-breasted Nuthatch, looks like the females at the top.
Their a great little bird, very friendly.
Yes, have fun watching the nuthatches run down the tree. I also love to see them get a peanut in their mouth and fly off with it.
I'm in for a treat! To watch those nuthatches doing the acrobatic runs. lol. Thanks Mrs_Ed.
Nanny ~ I think the one facing the camera in the 2nd pic is a White-throated sparrow.

Enlarge your picture and see if you can detect the yellow markings in front of it's eyes.
Agree with White-throated Sparrow
Resin
Yep it has the yellow markings in front of the eyes. When I first spotted it I thought it was a White Crowned Sparrow, until I got closer. We had those last year and I am familiar with what it looks like. So i get to add a new bird to the list!
Thank you all very much!
I don't know if you even want to try to ID a bird without a photo, but here is the info:
At one of the basket feeders, quickly left. Slight build. Brown and white - sparrowish coloring - long, narrow, pointed beak. The beak is what caught my attention. I have looked in this list: http://www.holoweb.com/cannon/birds.htm but didn't find a match.
Sybil, did you try www.whatbird.com?
I know they have that thing where you enter in the info you know and see what the results are.
Edited: I went through and came up with Black and White warbler! LOL. not quite brown… oh well, you try!!

Sybil, it wasn't a brown creeper was it? I've never seen them at a feeder, but who knows.
I will check out the link. I have a Brown Creeper that comes to the peanut feeder. I thought about that but I remembered it having more of a curved beak. However, that is a strong possibility.
This volume is getting too long, so I started volume 6.
This hyperlink will take you to volume 6.
