Thanks Pelle, it was pretty awesome to see it so close!

We got that snow/ice storm last night, mostly ice. There was close to a 1/2" layer on everything this morning :-(

burn love the tree full of redpolls!

Starlings have hit bad here too. I am going to get some cheap seed and cut the peanuts out to see if they will move on.

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

No Pelle...I didn't find my cletes and had to shuffle everywhere today. It is a real mess and will be for a few more days...luckily I haven't fallen, although DH did but wasn't hurt.

Beautiful blue sky with the Redpolls Burn!

Sadie...I'm sure you had a feeding frenzy at your place today also...the birdies were frantic and ate constantly all day long. We had birds in the yard that usually don't come this close and the normal ground feeders were eating from the hanging feeders. It was a real mad house!!

One of the birds that showed up was a Fox Sparrow. This is the first time I've ever seen this bird and there were several of them. No sun today but here is a pic.

Oh geez these poor birds. We really dodged a bullet last night,we were supposed to have an ice storm and instead its all rain w/ high winds.

Nice pic Bev!

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Bev...Poor Card!

I'm glad the storm missed you Pelle, it was almost scary the way the birds were acting...reminded me of Alfred Hitchcock!! LOL!

Thanks to Resin I found out that one of the Wrens that visits the feeding cage is a Bewick's! They are very rare in this part of the country and if seen are just passing thru in the spring or fall. I don't know why this one stayed but it shows up many times a day for his meal worms. Here is a poor pic...it is so fast I always have to shoot thru the window.

Rose (on her way out the door to feed all the wild ones)!!

Despite bad weather predictions I was able to stay outside this morning and get quite a few shots. First are a couple of pics of the Yellow-rumped Warbler.
