Thanks tcs because I really never knew and I am winter sowing in bottles. I will plant some others in my lasagna garden but put some MG seeds in the spot for now and am seeing nothing yet so if they don't make it, I'll try some more of the campsis.
People here have them go nuts too, but I have such bad clay and I need to ammend every single place so overly that I have not been successful with the plants in the past. I hope my new lasagna garden will be a good start for them.
How often do you guys water them once established in your areas. We get high heat and no summer rain hardly ever or if we do it will be in Late Aug. early Sept. Sprinklers here all the way.
CLOSED: Have TONS of Red Trumpet Vine/Creeper seeds for SASE
Angela, I sent out my SASE. Please let me know when you've received it. Thanks!!!
Angela, I spoke too soon! My envelope came today. It's always odd to see your own name and handwriting on an envelope sent to you.
Do you guys know the germanation time on the campsis seeds?
Are there any of these trumpet vine creeper seeds left by chance?
After seeing that photo I'd love some.
Thanks
Evysnan
Mine haven't germanated yet so I hope they do soon or I will keep trying.
I just checked my records from last year.... WS'ed on 2-22-07 / germinated on 3-25-07
so maybe it just takes some time.
Here's what Tom Clothier has to say
Campsis radicans, and x tagliabuana, sow 8 wks @ 39ºF, germ. @ 68ºF , 10-15d , can be invasive

Angel,
If you still have some, I'd like to get them. Please send me d-mail!
Any seeds left? I would be interested. I will send you a dmail - thanks! Em.
If there are still folks who want/need trumpet seeds ... i found a bunch of orange and a few reds.
Not sure if the quests were answered, as i have not see the OP reply.
I do not know much about these... I did WS some seeds last year, and they did germinate.
they have not started growing yet this year, as it's still cold here.
I also do not know how fast they grow. I bought one a few years ago... think this will be my 3rd yr with it, and it is only about 8" tall.
BUT i was given a bunch of seeds in a trade, and i dont need them.
Terese
