Got more seeds
I got Oneanji,
Weesengreens. ( She was very generous, but did not want seeds back. so if you ever see her on a post, let's thank her for that.
Susan, got yours.
Please look a few posts up and you can see the edited list of seeds I have
Why don't we go to the "Patriotic seed thread to chat, etc. and sign up and stuff. Remember, even if you don't want to join in the trade, we are still the "crazies", so you still have to come and chat. OK? You'll probably want maybe to be in the next one.
Do you want to continue putting our before pictures here until we have our afters. Or... would you like me to open a new thread and go ahead and move our pictures there and post what we're doing? Then you could add any other befores there and then we can start on the new. Save lots of moving, but, as you know I try to make it as complicated as I can so just pull me back to Earth and tell me what you think

Okey Dokie, I'll be sure and wait for yours. I'm sitting here mixing more seeds in. YAHOO So much cool stuff!!
You know Gourd, We need a thread somewhere for new people and people who've been here a while to tell about someone being really nice to them and give people a place to brag on someone. Some of these people just blow me away, they are so generous.
There's one lady that whenever she even thinks I need a seed, she sends it to me and doesn't expect anything back.
They just need a pat on the back. There's enough negative stuff to keep us busy for a long time. But aometimes, these people make our days and we need to share that?
I've been thinking of how to post it. Maybe just put MAKE SOMEONE'S DAY, BRAG ON THEM
Lorraine,
there used to be a forum called Mail Call and you could post your thank you's in that forum.
We need a thread somewhere for new people and people who've been here a while to tell about someone being really nice to them and give people a place to brag on someone.
Yes Lorraine there is such a place; go to That member's page by clicking on the link that's imbedded in their name when they post to a thread.
Then click on the Link that says 'Leave feedback for (member's name here) or read feedback left by other members.'
You can also - 'View the member feedback LorraineR has written of others.'
You can also 'Add LorraineR to your Friends group.' I've already added you!
Dave put this in so other members can tell if a seed or plant trader can be ranked accordingly.
Which is fun; but I've forgotten to use it alot of times too.
HTH,
~* Robin
Uh oh, I just made a post. How can I take it off?
Go back the same way you got there & look for a blue colored "edit" link to fix it up!

Drat! Wish I'd stumbled upon this earlier- I don't have many seeds per se, but have a couple dozen bulbs- tulip, daffys, dahlia and...um...a few others. I went a little crazy this year and ended up with more than I'd bargained for.
If things get delayed, let me know, I'd be happy to donate- don't need anything back- no room at the moment! lol...
Tess, first off, hi neighbor!
If you have extra Dahlia bulbs, I will trade for them if you would like. I don't have much listed, but I just got some more seeds in. I can send you a d-mail if you are interested, just let me know : )
Jennifer
Lorraine - don't forget my sack of seeds was sent to you 2/27/08 via priority
gosh! I cant believe how slllloooowww the us mail is! It truely is snail mail! LOL! I sent those seeds last saturday!
I'm still waiting on seeds that I ordered on the web 2 weeks ago! UGH! Guess I need to go stalk that mail man!
I just got some I ordered 2/14 on the web and the ones I ordered last week too today. So you can never tell why some get there faster than others.
Have you ever ordered from Diane's seeds?
No, I haven't, the ones I got are from some Wild flower places that sell in bulk, natives and such.
I have. I was very happy with the seeds I purchased. Prices were decent and lots more seeds than I get in the commercial seed packets. I wished I had ordered from her for the Patriotic Seed Swap.
I'm just asking cause I ordered the seeds 2 weeks ago, and am trying to patiently wait for them in the mail, LOL! It says on the site that you should allow 3 weeks for delivery...... one more week and Imma gonna be nokkin on her door! LOL!
Don't you hate to wait for stuff? I've heard good things aabout Diane's. Someone did a seed co op a while back and I wish I'd gotten in on it. She has some things that have 2000 seeds for $2. Can you imagine.
Oneanjl, did you get your aluminum flats planted. I've got a couple I just finished, going to take them out to put with my winter sow stuff. Out of room in the house
Have you ever ordered from Diane's seeds?
She's a nice person who started off here at DG. She'll be along promptly with your seeds; maybe she's down with a cold or the Flu.

Thanks! Im just really impatient.... I think I ordered some impatients from her too!
I havent planted the trays yet, didnt get them til late last night and this tooth is still bothering me. I probably wont get to plant them until Mon or Tues, plan to send time in the yard this weekend cleaning up all the junk and doing my lasagna beds... :)
Got Bluesprials seed to tody, thanks Karen.
Blue Spril sent some stuff I don't know that we've had before. She actually sent a list of what's in it, but I'm mean, so I'm not telling you all of them. Then where's the surprise? I will list a couple, just to m,ake you want to know what's in the whole "bowl" Cleome , Verbena, Lynchis.
When I send them out I will send as much as I can of what is in there. Of course most we won't know and some you will recognize. I'm so excited
If it is ok, we need to go on over to the "Patriotic " thread. I have dial up and I keep timing out so I imagine some of you may be the same. Anyway, here is the Link again.
If you haven't been here before, please come on over for the Patriotic Seed Swap. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/818335/#new
We'll start getting our list together there too.
lorainne--did you get my seed? sent it last sunday
I'm sure I did. What's your last name? I'm terrible about remembering names so I think ":Plantolinda" and I know that's not on the envy. Anyway, I'll double check.
It's so warm today, is it there too? Of course it is you're just an hour away
how warm?? thats not fair! its about 60 here, but windy too. Try making a lasagna bed in the wind! the peat moss just comes flying back at ya :)
oh it was warm alright--i have been out all day working in the yard--had to go in and put on sleeveless shirt and shorter pants--
Lorraine - I got my seeds today and could NOT believe how many seeds you sent me back! One and a half baggies of all kinds of seeds! Whoo Hoo!
Thanks Lorraine and everyone who participated in this swap!!!
Ok,don't everyone get excited. When I got ready to put Becky's in her envelope, it would have been too fat. So I divided them into 2 baggies. Just want everybody not to be like my kids, you gave him more, no I didn't they're the same, No it's not, measure it. Go to your room. Saying as they walk away.....You got more, no I didn't you did!!!
lol
I love the seeds and I cannot wait to find out what those big black seeds are!
Lorraine is right - neither baggie was full that I received. I can see why she had to do 2 baggies for me to squeeze them in the small bubble envie I sent her. Thanks again Lorraine for doing this mixed up seed swap! I shall be sowing them this weekend in my garden bed and also some in the garden bed at my school. :-)
Also - I shall be sure to send you extra postage on the red, white, and blue swap! Thanks for covering my shortage for me! :-)
lavender4ever - No black seeds here. I wonder if you have hyacinth bean seeds?
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/14970/
nope not bean shaped it is pointed and kind of triangular like it was in a round pod and separated if that makes sense. I have grown hyacinth bean so I would recognize those. these are large too.
Are the black seeds maybe a lily of some kind?
I got mine in the mail today. :)) Do these need shade or can they be in full hot sun? We are getting up to the 70's and near 80's during the day and down to the 30's at night still. I'll try and get a picture of the before places I've picked out. I'm not good at gettin my picutres to down load here, put I'll try.
Well I just don't know what it is lol. I am going to try starting some of the bigger seeds in trays and then see and the others are all going on the side of the garage that is usually ignores it is a bed about 5x20 ft. They are going to have to fight it out for supremacy!
L4E - Love your supremacy tactics on your side of the garage bed! LOL!
Susan - I believe most are to be grown in full sun and maybe some partial shade.
I [posted this on other thread but, are the black ones flat or are they round. Now we have to solve this seed mystery. We'll have to write a book. about "the mystery of the big black seed."
Someone here put some big black seeds in their trade. We will find you, so it will be better for you to come on with the name
They are flatish lol and look a little like a half circle. very black and a tiny white tip on one point.
I remember those, but never could figure out what it was.... Course I don't know what most seed look like
