Just thought you would like to know a few of the things I know are in there. I kinda know some of mine and some of you have listed some:
Cockscomb, marigold, black eyed susan, impatients, mexican hat,
several diff sunflowers, flax, hollyhock, red yucca,and I didn't look any farther. It won't be a surprise and believe me you are going to be surprised. Especially at the quality of the seeds. These are not throw away seeds!!!!
Why don't we do some "mixed seed trades"
I like the 'patriotic garden' should we start a new thread? I am okay with having Lorraine mix all the colors and send them out-just thought the buddy system would be easier on her so she'd have more time to garden and sow her seeds! LOL.

Oceanj, haven't gotten them, yet probably tomorrow. I love doing this and I need stuff to do. I live alone, well, not quite, my daughter and her husband and kids live in front of me and one of my sons lived on the other side of the property, so I don't need a pity party lol But I am one of those people who need something to be doing, and I do a lot of this stuff at night when it's too late to garden.
You're right tho, I do need to get to work!!! It's really windy and only about 50 degrees outside so I wouldn't be out there anyway.
Yeah, stop laughing, I know that isn't cold compared to most of you. But us poor Texas in East Texas just can't take it.

Here is a picture of our seeds so far. That is a 2 qt. bowl. We've only gotten from a few people so far, so can you just see what it will be when I get those.!!!
There is a snak size baggie full of mexican hats that's not in there. I missed it on the table when I was dumping
Since ya'll know more abaout flowers than me, can you tell me what this is., My daughter in law gave it to me last year and 3 more have come up beside it

That is some bowl of seeds! I sent along tall sweet william and some double purple datura and some lovely balsam among others. I think I even threw in some limelight four oclocks.
I noticed that you had my name as Tetleytuna and then you had Weedsfree right after that. Is there a Weedsfree? I did send you some seeds, wondering if you got them.
I Wish I was WEEDS FREE! LOL! I was out pulling weeds until after dark tonight! Just want to hurry up and get it done so I can get the beds ready. I stopped when I grabbed a slug bare handed! Yuck!

Also, tetley tuna came up with a name for our little seeds UFO, "unitentified flowering objects" That was just so funny.I figured every one needed to hear that. !!!
I needed a good laugh, I had to have one of my kittens down this morning. Hit by a car. So, I'm keeping my mind off it. My daughter lost a kitten a while back so we fixed up a little place with flowers and stuff, even catnip, so her husband is going to pick Littles up and we'll bury her with him where it's pretty.
Also, Gourd sent a package of decorative gourd seeds. I'm going to count them out and divide them so everyone gets some . I thought you all might want to have them and when I start packing I'll set those aside and then just put everyone some in their pkg. Those are neat and I'd like to try and grow some
If you hate gourds, lol, just let me know.
Forgot to add this : Oneanji is going to put up a thread for the July 4 trade. Don't you all think we should do it soon. I figured you'd want your seeds by May 1. Is that too late, too early ?
Also, don't you think it should be on the group trade, round robin forum. I just think more people would see it. I'll put one on this forum too, just a link to the round robin one.
Some of you might know some where else to put it.
Anyway, let me know what you think about ending date. We can start using that one as our "chat" too, what do you think. I'm having too much fun to not have a place to run our mouths.
Anyway, all of us who've done this one will get to choose what goes on in the new one. Only fair, huh?
I'll close this one in a couple days. Keep checking it tho, because we'll go ahead and post our before pictures there, ok? Then when we get ready to put up our afters, we put up a new thread for them.

I am still debating about the next swap. I gotta figure out where I can add more seeds. I've got seedlings coming up in all the beds except the one I'm going to use for this swap.

I'm going to put them in containers too and there's nothing says you have to use them now. You can just use them as you want. Container here, container there,, a trade here ,a trade there.
I got a trade once and it was a "blue mix." She called it World famous blue mix"
If ya'll would like, I can put each color in different packs, and send them back that way. Then you could throw some of each color for the 4th, then use the others differently. I don't mind./ I'll just use 3 different "bowls" this time

Lorriane, mine are on the way. They should be there Friday. I am not sure if I put my address, but I put a little note inside and sent a good bit of extra postage and some baggies. My brains are fried too!
Oh, come on, all our brains can't be fried!!! lol I can't wait to start getting the seeds into bags. I'll bet we all end up with at least a sandwich size baggie. I hope so. Maybe more.!!

When we post on the Patriotic one we'll get that in there somewhere. Even if you don't want to do the trade, you still have to come and keep up with things!! I do feel like we are this little group of "like" people.
Don't worry, Tet, we will have it copyrighted with your name on it. Who knows, you might sell thousands of t shirts, or something you carry seeds in.

I don't think you have my seeds yet; because they were just delivered back to me from Arizona!! What 'in the golly gee world' were they doing in Arizona?? Did they want to take a trip without inviting me?? I could've used a trip to some warmer weather about this time of the year; in this Frozen Tundra.!!
Neither one of the addresses on the bubble mailer was form Arizona!! They may as well have gone to Oz & back!
According to the post office - the zipcode was not completed... but they cancelled the stamps in front of me...& not sufficient postage; to go back to the "Addressee" Well!! that's me don't ya think??? I think they're playing too much hey diddle, diddle with the cat & the fiddle... If you ask me.
Anyway; there was a big hole in the back of the bubble mailer (where someone stuck some tape) to cover the hole. The puffy package of mixed seeds... er... some unknown to me is gone. Did the Home Land Security Doggy do this??? But not the extra postage, baggies & SASE Labels. I have seeds in baggies that I was gonna trade up for... But I will send them out to you in a new bubble mailer in place of them. They will be seeds from '07 & '08. I hate loosing seeds in the P.O. Maybe they thought I was trying to hide some seeds of wacky tabacky.
This time I'll send it with the green sticker, for better delivery & peace of mind.... I'd like to give them a piece of my mind for sure...

I used to raise and show collies and we had one we had for a long time and he was just our man. I'd lose one of them every once in a while or sell one, but when we lost Zach we all walked around in a daze. You know it seems you only have that special one about once in a lifetime.

OMG, you guys are going to get me in trouble. I actually checked out the zazzle website. Only problem is I have zero artistic talent. Can barely draw a straight line with a ruler. Would love to see what you all can come up with though!
They won't make a templete for you to see? They should be able to do that. I had that done when I had a "diner", cause the stuff I wanted I couldn't do, so they did.
Are there any places where you live that make them.? You could call and ask and they might do it or know someone else who will. I can see it in my head, but can't draw either.

lol! I love it! My step daughter is an artist...in school right now, but I can ask her to draw something up and scan and email it to me..... not sure how long it would take her, with all her homework, etc.
