Horticulture therapy

This is a true vocation. Anyone know anything about the profession of hort. therapist?

I know that I checked into it several years ago, when I was still working as a psychotherapist. I believe it was at Duke University (my memory is a bit~~~~~ and I am certain that many classes in hort depts include it..they should anyway.

Working with differently abled folks is a huge joy for me and something like that would be invaluable.

I wish I could help. When my kids were in school...I started along with 2 teachers a program for the challenged children in 6 thru 8 grades. We grew veggies and flowers and saw big strides in interest and in curiosity. The butterfly garden was a huge hit. The veggies were second in line, they loved eating peas off the vine. It was so fun and they just lite up when it was garden time. I was very disappointed when funds disappeared for that program. I hope you find the information you need. I wonder if your extension services might have some useful information?

Good Luck
