They are pretty and smell wonderful too... that is when you get down on your hands and knees ~ LOL

Bronc ~ no apology needed... that is what is fun about a thread...

So, I noticed all the shards of dinnerware? For mulch? Decoration? Do you not worry about your little one getting into it and getting cut when a little older? I think of bare feet ~ (((shudder))) 8 ) pod

I had huge drifts of them under pecan trees when I lived in Dallas. I love them, just haven't found the right spot them this far East. They grow, just don't bloom for me here.

What kind of wild onion are you looking for?

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Haha! It's broken glass that I have used like mulch in one of my beds. I have cacti, roses, and various other thorny plants all around the property, so the broken glass is the least of my worries. We, as parents, made up our minds before we had kids that we would not move all the "dangerous" stuff out of reach of our children, but instead teach them that they are not to touch those things. That's just how we decided to go about it, not that the other way is wrong.

Here is a broader pic of that bed.

Cocoa, I'm looking for the tiny onions with the pink, white or creme blooms.

Beautiful TJ. For those of you that haven't seen it, that is map of the State of Texas. Very clever.

And I can vouch that his children are wonderful. Jimi is still just a baby. Jordyn is a darling girl of all of 3 years old. She calls me "grammaw" as she already has a "mimi". Doesn't matter...I still get a hug.

"If" I'm thinking of the same thing you are, I can get you billions.lol

I have a number of different things that are small bulbs, smell like onions, different colors, different bloom times. I wouldn't when or how to move them, willing to try. I think most people consider them weeds, but I like them.

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Cool Cocoa! Just dig 'em, they're bulbs, so they'll transplant easy.

They just put on all their foliage, is it safe to dig them now?

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Um, I don't know.

Find out.lol I know with daffs and grape hyacith I mark them with a stick and move while dormant. I can send them now with foliage or mark them and dig before Oct. RU. Anyone have any ideas what best?

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I have chives that I can bring to the RU if you want them. They make a typical onion flower cluster in a ball shape. It's pretty much white. They are as tuff as wild onions, but they're actually pretty good eatin'.

Bronc, are you coming to the RU? I've wanted some grape hyacinths for a long time. What can I bring for you?

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Silver, I'll be at the Waxahachie RU. Which one will you be at? I can dig you some GH's and get them to you one way or another.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I can only go to the one in CS. Is there anybody close to you that's going to CS?

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

TJ, if I see you before then, I'll be glad to take them to her.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Pbtx.:) Hope it works out.

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks Pattie! I'll see you this weekend and bring them to you. I'll try to get a group dug with the dirt still intact and slip the whole thing into a pot. Does anyonelse want grape hyacinth?

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks very much Broncbuster.:) Wish you were going to the CS RU. If there's something you want in trade maybe somebody that's going to CS could take something to you for me. Check my trade list.

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Scutellaria longifolia looks like a beaut! Do you have any more available, Silver?

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I have some cuttings I took, but I don't know if they are going to root. I don't know why they aren't looking good. They are in the gh. Maybe they aren't getting enough sun. I'm going to try again in a couple of weeks to take some more cuttings. Is there anything else you'd like?

Dallas, TX

I just too pictures of my Helborus blooming and I lost the pic somehow, its a beautiful Mauve color. Also my Ajuga is blooming and my Plum trees, I got Hostas coming up in different spots. Wiil take more pics in the AM, maybe that other Helleborus bloom wil have open.
Marylee do you have some more Asters you can bring me to the CSRU? :)

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Hmmm. I don't know. They haven't shown any green yet. I don't have any cutting left from last year, but if there's any growth before the RU, I can try to get some cuttings.
