pretty! pretty! pretty!

Alfred, ME(Zone 4a)

Very beautiful indeed. All the shrubs, plants certainly have a nice snow cover, a natural mulch. Much better than 2/3 winters ago with no snow and deep frost, killed a lot of plants.
Hard walking around as all is froze hard. After 2/3 months I am ready for some bare ground. Getting tired of shuffeling aorund like I'm 95 yrs. old w/ a load in my pants. Days are getting longer, sun is higher and mud season will come quick.
Don't forget to prune trees while they are still dormant. kdcon

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

That's a street light, Al?

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

No, a light on a shed/building. I only have a few of those I know of that turn green for me - not streetlights.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I was going to say I didn't think they were used for street lamps.

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

the combination of colors in that is unearthly - the green and orange, with the purplybrown of the sky makes me think of copper oxidizing. Really cool.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

that's neat Al

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Cool Al! One question......
Are you paying these people to put colored lights in so you can drive by at night and take picture? I suppose we should be grateful there are no red lights huh?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

In my night photo, my solar LED lights that illuminate my JM look real blue. Looks cool.

Well I was hoping not to bump this thread up but I think it may still have photos coming in the month of May at this rate!

Here's the apple tree on Auntie T's back lawn this morning. Even I have to admit it's pretty.

May? I hope not.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

So do I...I have over 100 lily bulbs to plant, not to mention the rest of the plants. But at this rate, it's not looking good! We have another one coming Friday/Sat.....you too?

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

There is only one thing to say....Brrrrr!!! Pretty but enough already!

We turn the clocks a week from Sunday, at least it will seem more like spring.

Something is coming. Nothing big.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Groundhog Day for you, Celeste!

Alfred, ME(Zone 4a)

We had better hope for a slow, easy thaw cause if all this snow melts too fast it won't be good. I think I'm going to watch that movie bout the guy building an Ark again. Yeah more snow Fri/Sat then showers/flurries Mon & Tue leading up to another "event" Wed. Bring It ON :))
I may not even bother taking my long johns off this August.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

KD, did you hear the latest predictions for this one coming in tomorrow? Possibly a foot, then in the next breath they say the one coming in on Tues./Wed. may bring rain?? Ugh! Let me know if you need help with the Ark, all I ask in return is you pick up DH & I when it floods! LOL

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)
