very eerie & pretty at the same time Victor
Even more snow photo's
That's cool Victor. Did you do a long exposure on that? I like the way the lights glow. Is the chain link fence separating your yard from neighbors, or is that where your veggie patch is?
Victor, you have snow!! But your tree's look fine compared to mine. I really am worried we are going to get some power outages, our trees are already weighted down with snow & ice from the last 2 storms. It has been snowing since midnight, we are expected to get 10-12" of snow before we turn over to freezing rain later this afternoon. I can see a big tree down at the bottom of the field that is just leaning and my neighbors weeping willow has some very low branches right now.
I filled up the bath tub with water, stocked the fireplace, candles in holders all through the house and the batteries have all been charged. I'm ready.....bring it on!

wow that part I am not jealous of pixie... wish you the best of luck
Thanks Allison, now wishing I had bought the ticket to Florida for yesterday! LOL
now that I can hear... I could use a few days in the warmer weather
Hope your trees don't have too much damage. Yes, Harper - 20 second exposure. The chain link surrounds my pool.
looks cold Al
snow blind for sure Al.... and I wouldn't call that a little drifting Pixie
10 for me is bad
:)
I don't mind snow, it's the freezing rain part that comes on top of the snow. Makes things dangerous, tree limbs fall, electrical fires, bad accidents, just misery.
Celeste, how are things there so far? Good luck to you and your neighbors.
Al, I have a friend who lives on the other side of the lake in Fon du lac.
That's too bad.LOL
We all rip on FDL, they're used to it. I work there now and then.
Ha! That's funny.
I went out to shovel the heavy wet snow off the roof and could here the tree's snapping in the woods. One tree in particular, behind my neighbors house, is tipping to the right....I have a feeling this one won't be in view tomorrow morning if this keeps up.
Sorry it's so blurry, this one is very high up.
Al - my DH grew up in a small town called Prairie du Sac - is that around you? We got to drive through there once several years ago.
Prairie du Sac - oh sure. Real nice area. How did he get out to CT?
His parents moved to Brooklyn when he was 12. He always says it was the best of both worlds - small town childhood, and then being a teenager in New York.
I guess. There is a well known winery in PdS now. Some DGers from there.
We had 10" of snow before it turned to rain. Barley got it plowed and blowed before it got to heavy to move. Snowbanks are 20 to 25 ft high now and we have 8 wks of snow weather left. Running out of places to put it. Dogs love it, snow mountains every where. Also could hear trees snapping when I took the mutts out last nite. Glare ice every where , have to wear ice cleats till I get it sanded tomorrow. Never lost power here. In looking at the short and long forecast it appears we are going to have snow/rain bout every 3 days till who knows when. Still, I would deal with this any day than the tornadoes the people out west have and poisonous snakes. kdcon
Pretty shots!
Oh my so much ice and snow you have. Love the bright blue sky. Hope you get some melting today.
kd, the dogs look like they are having a great time!!
Eleanor, wasn't it pretty with the sun shining on all the ice this morning? I hate the sound as I know it's hard on the limbs but it is breath takingly beautiful!
Thanks Victor & ngam!
